Had a couple of these over at mine recently, attended by Dazza, Chishy and a few others, and Stevechaps has expressed an interest too. So I thought it would be an idea to organise a WYIOC poker tournament.

Before I go any further I would like to emphasise that this will not be a 'shirt off anyones back' do. Indeed there isn't any need to introduce money into the equation if that's the general consensus of opinion.

Basically it's a gathering of friends and a couple of hours playing poker, throwing chips around the table (plastic ones, but we could offer catering ) and having a laugh / chat / swear at one another.

I'm just trying to gauge reaction at the moment, so can we have a show of hands from interested parties, then we'll look into sorting out a mutually convenient date.

Don't worry if you're not sure how to play, it's easy enough to pick up, and the 'newcomer' ended up walking away with the winnings last week (Git)

You are, of course, welcome to bring along spouses, beer, girlfriends (though don't bring both at the same time), wine, boyfriends, and more beer, etc.

I am up for it,, but let me learn how to play quick ?? but guess not knowing will mean i lose a lot maximum bid 2p

IF (and I stress the word IF) we do end up deciding to play for money, it'll be a couple of quid into a pot and winner takes all. Everyone gets an equal share of chips and away you go...

 

Fun of the game for me chips only works, or possibly play for a windscreen and lots of interior bits

Just wondering if i can take the old PS2 and better my 32 second run...
on there TV monitor, or will they need it!
Anyhows i'll try to make it... but be warned there may be a Alien moment on the table should i eat soemthing!

If anyone can think of soemthing witty to emboss on my **** then please let me know... should be interesting seeing faces as i lay recumbant on the table!
