Default Yet another potential WTIOC night out...

Jeff Wayne's LIVE production of War of the Worlds is on at Sheffield's Hallam Arena on Sat 29th April '06 and there are a few tickets still available, priced at around £42 each.

Anyone fancy it?

How can anyone mis-spell WYIOC????

Another date which may be worth considering for those unable to make Saturday's (Hello Dave ) is Thursday 20th at Nottingham arena, not much further down the M1, though I've not checked ticket availability for this yet.

Let's see what the numbers are like by the end of the week, then I'll look into booking the necessary tickets.

I'd have thought Dazza, CB and HB would have been up for this!

I was thinking about suggesting The Pogues, The Sawdoctors and The Levellers whom are all touring in the run up to Chrimbo. None of them coming anywhere near Leeds though Used to love a good Irish gig at Xmas

Are Richard Burton and Phil Lynott gonna be at these WOTW gigs Wouldn't be the same without them

Richard Burton is appearing 'In sound and vision' Dunno HTF they're gonna mange that!?!?!?

Justin Hayward will be there performing FE live, which MUST be worth the asking price alone. Goosebump time.

Phil Lynott is having an early Xmas lunch with his father-in-law so he won't be able to...

wait for it...

I don't think so mate I am really having to draw in the purse string at the mo' As the car hasn't sold, and looks highly unlikely that it's going to at anything like what it's worth and the payment of my ADI course looming, I really have to watch what I spend. I'm afraid 2 tickets for the gig, plus fuel, beer, food etc puts it way into unnecessary luxury territory. Hopefully when I get the 2nd income up & running I will have no such worries

Obviously the saturday date would also prove difficult for me, but best for everyone else, and if I can spare the cash by April I doubt I'd get a seat anywhere near you lot (bonus , ). Have a good 'un though You are, in the meantime, invited anytime to come and listen to the DD5.1 SACD in full surround at my place. I'll cook up a curry and get some beers in

Shame. Never mind, if it falls through we'll have a 'Cheaper backup option at Dave's with curry and beer' night instead

Hopefully

Just checked ticket availability online, and they're still okay for Nottingham on Thursday 20th April, or Sheffield (Twoccer's paradise?) on Sunday 29th April.

I'm quite happy to book for anyone wanting to confirm. Tickets are £37.50 plus £4.25 handling

Show of hands?

1. Sticky
2. Al C
3. Dazza

Need to know by, lets say Boxing Day, then I'll order
