Default Meadowhall - FYI

Just a precautionary note, wouldn't feel right if I didn't share it with you.

Last week, the mum of a friend of my girlfriend was in Meadowhall, when they found a wallet. It was packed with over a grand (Not too unusual given the time of year granted).

They decided to do the honest thing and hand it in. They then noticed a man of foreign appearnace frantically looking for something. Upon asking him if he had lost something, he said he'd lost his wallet. They got him to describe it, and true enough it was this guys wallet they had found. He then offered them both £100 for being honest, but because the wallet had found it's rightful owner, they said it is was ok, and declined the offer.

When they were walking away, the gent tapped them on the shoulder, and just said, "whatever you do, don't come to Meadowhall in the 2 weeks running up to christmas". This freaked them out, so they went to report it to security, who scoured the cctv, but found no trace of him.

It might be nothing, but they way he said it put the fear of god into them.

Make your own conclusion, but I just wanted to share it with you.

Scroll down to "The Grateful Terrorist" It's an urban legend and has been played out hundreds of times.

My wife was in Asda on Friday whilst the minutes silence for the Murdered PC was on, stood next to an old dear who told her that earlier in the day an Asian lad had dropped his wallet as he was walking infront of her in Bradford City Centre. She picked it up & called him to stop. In gratitude he told her (In strict confidence) that she shouldn't shop in Bradford Arndale, the White Rose or Huddersfield's Shopping centres in the run up to Xmas. She was a frail old thing & extremely shaken by the warning!
Moral of the story? Next time, take the wallet & run like ****
