Strines Run
One of our best meets yet.... What a great run out...
Great food, company and a pub to ouselves...
I even managed to tell Sticky's story once or twice.. On top of Dave's once or twice..
Big shout to the several new faces that made a great effort to find the pub that has no Mobile signal (I've always been bad with names so apologies for not mentioning you directly).. But it was great to see you and we hope you can make it to the next meet in Jan..
Debs.. you did a great job getting us back in one piece
As the last 30 minutes were taken up with a small flash photography contest, I feel that a few choice and not so flattering pics will be whizzing up shortly..
Again.. big thanks to everyone for turning up to make a memorable meet and thanks to Sticky for the first round... (at least mine wasn't spiked with Rohipnol)

Can only agree absolutely fantastic night brilliant turn out, and fantastic drive
Trying to keep up with Dave on the enthusiastic drive their , and the disadvantge of not knowing the roads at all smile per mile totally fantastic excellent driving mate, and I had your rear to follow
Not sure how to word this or indeed even if I should attempt to, but Apple's red end was nothing less then awe inspiring
Nice work second wave squadron leader Debs superb job over strines to get the flock home safe and sound
Al's car looked like small nuclear weapons were being detinated in it on the way home, with dazza flashing (strobe of course)
What more can I add really enjoyable evening, nothing like a steady run out in the countryside with friends
TOP night Ladies and Gentlemen....

Great night and what a superb pub. The food was scrummy One of the funniest nights we've ever had and all at the expense of one poor sap
As Al said, welcome to the new faces. Hope you can make it again, and maybe next time we won't have quite so much p!$$ to rip out of someone so we can actually talk to you
The drive was excellent, and apologies for disappearing into the distance on the way back but Chris, Helen and I were having way too much fun in the dark How did the 1st (2nd ) gear hairpin go Al ? I had a lovely all wheel drift with some wheelspin up the hill I think we waited about 4 minutes at the Langsett turning for the pack to catch up That hairpin on the hill going over to Penistone caught me unawares though and had Chris almost through the side window Wear your seatbelt next time
Remember, book your Geneva flights ASAP www.jet2.com

What a TOP night that was
Great run across strines, with possibly great directions via the talkie walkies, who really knows as you can't actually work out what the **** anyone is saying on em but what the hell it was a great drive
Nice quiet pub (Q the tumbleweed) I bet they're glad we turned up or they would hardly have made a penny and as above food was lovely.
My jaw was aching from all that laughing, it really was a funny night most of which was of course at Sticky's expense. Hats off to Sticky though he has taken it all really well, cheers for the drink mate.
The drive home was interesting, trying to drive on the motorway whilst being momentarily blinded every few seconds by Dazza's flashing and it was nice to see my old car was able to keep pace or should that be get away from Al's T20 along the A650
Looking forward to more of the same next year

What happened to Sticky that was so funny?
(Just thought someone might like to relate the tale once more, as there's probably a few miles left in it yet )
Top evening. Thank you all for being so 'kin ace!

Glad you had a decent run back - two cars had been a bit too "spirited" at the roundabout by the Tankersley MaccyD's and got to know each other rather better (nuffink involving me before you assume... )
Plenty of flashing blue lights and dayglo - Sticky would have felt it was just like the other night
Mick - that's the first time I've whipped my red end out in public so you're honoured (or something like that ) I can see it rearing up again in evidence later...
Sticky, I missed the first half of the night - was there a tale being told?

Nearly forgot..
'I must loose some wieght'.. This was a wierd comment to hear out of the blue as you're negotiating a fairly high speed damp corner... in the dark..
'Why's that Daz? You're not slowing me down any.. my steering wheel lock weighs more than you...'
'My Man-**** are jiggling about something chronic...'
PMSL..
Can someone add a 'sports bra' to the manifest of Talkie Walkies for the next drive out?
Note to self ** Turn down the AST's for the next trip..
