Default 2006 Proposition

The Mid monthers took a bit of downturn.. Mainly due to the fact they were pretty much identical to the Monthly meets.

Now seeing that we've had a few daylight runs.. and they's been enjoyed by those turning up.. how about making a regular Sunday mid-monther???

These can be in place of the evening mid-monther and allow us to get out and about to varying parts of the fabulous Yorkshire countryside in the daylight.. The roads will be safer to drive and we can actually take in the views.. We can also partake in the fantastic pubs for a drink or meal.....

So.. Shall we arrange one for the 15th???

Details to follow if the ideas a goer, but the plan would be to meet up and go to a pub North, East, South and West in turns over some great roads... . This would enable us to meet up with other clubs and people who normally wouldn't make the meet.. It' doesn't have to be a 'blast' just a good driving day out.. Say, 1Hr's driving to get there.. few stops on the way to take in the Mountains, Tor's, Lakes, Resevoirs, Falls, Moors, Fens, Fells etc etc..then and hour or so back..

So..

Date: Sunday 15th to try out the idea..
Location: To be suggested
Time: To be worked out dependent upon the location. Probably 11 ish..

Bring the kids, wives, husbands, GF's & BF's.

Comments please..

Pretty much 5 weekends (15 shifts) holiday plus Easter and Xmas weekends. Try to use it as wisely and sparingly as possible to maximise time away. On the plus side, where you 9-5ers work 227 days a year, I only work 135 What would your bosses say if you asked them for another 92 days holiday a year All the free time is soon to be used up with the new business venture though

I'm up for it, even though it's gonna mean missing out on some valuable time on the Scott, I've still got every Mondy night, every Thurdsay night (except for the end of month WYIOC meet) and every other Sunday to look forward to.

If I don't rack up 5000 miles on it this year then I'm gonna sell it

There might even be time to shoehorn in a ride or two with Chris (on the road, of course )

Well I'm sure you will all be only too happy to pop round and assist with the household chores and DIY I am obliged to do at the weekend so that I'm free to attend

As long as that's all done I'm happy with this

Al seems like a good idea. Definetly feel 'held back' in the dark winter nights and really enjoyed yesterday's escapade....oh yes and love taking in a nice bit of countryside.

SCG, if u are referring to the wonderful smell that we came across parked at the lay-by from a field, then no thanks, but the roads up near Skipton were exceedingly good just like....

I just hope none of those smells were 'man-made', Al seemed to be a while behind the haystacks whilst we were waiting for Sticky.

It's not very often he gets to hear a proper burble these days, so he's got to get his gratification as and when he can
