Unhappy Squashed Scooby

Hi Chaps,

Anyone used UK Assistance in Wakefield for bodywork ? I had a mint Bug eye wrx until some Vectra rammed it from behind this morning !!!!
Privilege have told me this will be the company doing the repairs, I always worry about companies I've never heard of. It's going to need a new rear bumper, boot lid, maybe back pannel, it's one of those does'nt look like much but end of the world kind of deal.
Any info would be appreciated.

PS if any of you were in a Blue new age wrx coming along Thornhill road this morning it was me in the Bug eye complete with dents.

don't know what they are like!if you know somewhere, demand to have it repaired there.it is your right to choose a repairer .they all try this because it is their own bodyshop normally . i have had this happen before and taken to my chosen repairer ,not theirs!

I have a mate who's always done a good job in the past but my cars have always comes back with bit of over spray here and there, which is always a pig to get off and with my wrx being mint (took me ages to find) I didn't really want that, but there again he always does me a good deal, the other insurance will be paying anyway I'm kind of hoping it will be like the advert where the car comes back all mint, maybe i'm just dreaming here.
I was just hoping somebody else may have used them in the past to see if there any good.
In the meantime if you see a Blue Bug eye in the Dewsbury area all dented up that's me.
Cheers for the reply....

Mick's recently had a total respray and he's pretty chuffed about it...looks great too!!

There's no search function and I've gone back 9 pages to search for details on the garage that did it.. and I can't find anything... Hopefully Mick will be along shortly and give you the details..

from this

To this

Then this

Obviously missed out the 100 prep pics I have but he really does not miss a trick when it comes to quality, He does all types of insurance work, to be fair most of his work is insurance claim based.

If you need any more contact details give me a shout, I know this is not much help on your question. but a contact none the less

Good luck Mick

Steady on there old chap

How did you decide on Yellow then Mick did you have it in mind or was you just looking through lots of colours until something grabbed your eye ?

Are you guys coming down to Japfest at Castle Coombe or maybe Santa Pod at some point or is it just a little to far for you all ?

I normally do Santa pod a couple of times a year, not to sure if its distance or a meet too far for some of the other WYIOC'ers.

See if I can get a few of us together this year at some stage?

I had the chance of a good, price not an option spray job, so went for something different, toyed with lime greens and two tone rally effects, before going for the brightest yellow I could find. It's actually a lotus color code based on the 2003 esprit.

Its not like I lost value on the car by doing so, due to its age probably gained a little if not made more attractive to certian buyers

not that its for sale

Let me know when your going to do Pod as I'll be there a few times this year hopefully... we have a good South Wales group now and we are getting around a little more, I'll keep my eyes out for a Yellow scoob then

So you picked a yellow with some heritage thank god you never went for Lime Green !!!
You can tell it's a quality job I remember that thread of yours showing us the stages

Guys,

Missed the replies, as I was off line last night, thanks for the info, the Type R looks very nice, is that a Lotus 300 Sport in the picture, once was a passenger in one of those very quick.

Cars been picked up today and gone to UK assistance, hopefully they'll do a good job, i've been given a 1.4 astra to cruise the streets in the meantime, I'll call Carlton if they make a mess....
