..a pc motherboard & CPU lying around ??

If anyone has upgraded their PC lately and has a spare motherboard & CPU they were going to throw out , could you let me know.

We're trying to build a PC as cheap as possible for my mates daughter . I've managed to get all the parts together except the above, but it will need to be a board that takes SDRam

anything considered, the cheaper the better or even free

can collect or pay postage to Leeds area

Got a complete setup (pentium?) if interested but not sure it takes SDRAM (how do I tell??) but it has loads of memory in it for an old bit of kit(384ish I think)

It is old but internet ready with modem or can come with network card. Got windows 98 on it and full version of office etc.

£20 the lot, can bring to the WYIOC meet this month.

sounds good Kev, what cpu speed is it ?

dosnt need to be mega fast though, she's using it mainly for school stuff and wont need internet access just yet

Yes - is that a good enough answer?????

I know it is Pentium and it will be less than 1k but it is certainly fast enough to run office and some basic games.
