OK.. A new major event for May.

As with the NBO, this is probaly looking to be a must do event...and it's on our doorstep..

Take a read of the attractions for the day...

I'd like to have a good turnout and smart day for the club..

I've emailed Shaun & Simon and requested a stand, so once they reply with the space, location and availability, I'll peice something together.

The Gayzeebo will there and I'd like to have as many cars there as poss with possibly Ian as Centre stage... especially if he does some runs...

We can have a BBQ and some beer supplied by the club...

I'll be looking to pay the £55 to have a 1/4 mile run and handling circuit drive.. anyone else?

Ooooh. YES!

No doubt we'll be resplendant in our new club branded attire too.

Definately up for it, but you probably knew that anyway

No need to say this, I'm sure, but let me know if you need any help with the organisation.

Isn't this the w/e before Millau?

Shaping up to be a busy month

Up for this one.................

Oh and thanks Dave (CB) it now looks like I'm getting the AST coilovers for the car since being in yours. Girlfriend has asked me to thank you personally for ruining any possibility of a holiday this year.......................Personally I'm very thankful.

Got the whiteline arb; alloy drop links and alk fitted last month. To be honest didn't notice too much difference but guess it needs some form of geometry. With the group buy taking effect thought I should take advantage as I'm yet to see a bad report about them. Hoping it will cure the body roll a little.

After being a somewhat nervous passenger in your car (thrilling none the less) I thought my money was better deployed here rather than the engine mods in the end. The 20G turbo has found a new owner...........plus it makes selling on that little bit easier should the need arise.

Just the journey down there thats worrying me. Guess it will be an early start if I have to find my way down to Powerstation...............

Seriously Dave thanks for the eye opener. Had I not been in yours and seen how compliant they were on the road I'd have never considered coilovers again following my pervious experiences!

Have you got the ARB on the stiffest setting as it should have made a very noticeable difference. Although yours will be a little stiffer than OE with the Prodrive springs, the body roll should have been brought under control much more.

OK - that being the case I've downloaded the entry form.

The only thing I need to test is the sound level. I've got access to a digital meter so will check it this weekend.

If it checks out:
1) Fill in the entry form and sign up
2) Go order some extra sticky "road legal" tyres for the event
3) Strip the car of all needless weight just before the event
4) Just a thought. If we're having T-shirts made, how about a matching sticker job for the car? You're the man Sticky - I will pay you for them.
5) Round up a support crew for the day

Anything obvious I've missed let me know.

Yes..

6) Give Al a spin in the passenger seat..

Once the web site is back up, I was going to ask Sticky for a price on some small back window stickers.. as well as some more windscreen stickers.. But seeing as you've raised it then cool

Support crew? I'll be replying to Sean tonight with some rough attendance numbers.. so we'll have the WYIOC stand as part pit for you and the other
club runners... there'll be no shortage of hands...

Is it May yet?

Just tested the sound level outside in the car park - got a few people coming out wondering what the noise was - lol!

It's 110db at 5,000 revs and 115db at 6,000 revs - D'oh!

It's due back at Scoobymania soon for the gauges so I'll ask him about a baffle to take it down a bit without sucking too much power....

No problem mate, you know what they say

"He who carries most bricks, drops most"

not too sure if the planned 40 lashes is actually punishment though
