Andy, wait 'til you see what he did to the brand new one he bought in just 9 laps At least that one had done many road miles and lasted the morning on track, it's replacement lasted less than 10 miles and was in much worse condition A combination of possibly carrying too much speed into a hairpin with a very abrasive surface at road pressures and suspect alignment. Could be any/all of these factors, Dave may be along soon to tell the full story

I think it's called an attacking and agressive driving style....
He was bloody quick, but paid the price....
The Tyre was made by Wanli http://www.wanli.at/
£65 balanced and fitted by 'Just Tyres' in Scun(t)horpe...
Never heard of them before, though there are a few sites around with reasonable cars using them (One 250 BHP 200sx from the SXOC)... to be fair, they were driven hard, but from the evidence below after only 10 laps (with other cars giving equal abuse to other makes), I'll stay away from them....

No way... i stood right next to the track & he was visibly quicker than everyone; down the back & around the right left right and into the bottom right hander where i was stood. beleive me he was a fair bit quicker... And although a little out of shape had some pretty impressive car control...
i Don't know about the full lap time, but around that back quarter he was carrying alot more speed though that section and was noticably quicker than anyone else, tying that into a full lap is different but i'd honesty say around that secition alone he was much quicker. it was very apparent when he went past directly in front... both me and Mick both uttered F*ck me! at the same time on severial passes put it that way...
Some video from the same point with everyone going past would have been good...

If I were you I'd spend my Bank Holiday buying 4 decent tyres. Anything that can go like that is fookin' lethal IMO.
Reminds me of a set of remoulds I once had on my (don't laugh) Fiat 126
