Default Mini Adventure - 4th June Run

You may remember a Works Mini following the main Holmfield Arms guys into the FG on last Months main meet??? Sticky & I had a good chat about the respective clubs and he made us aware of a Mini Run that the Mini2 BB guys & Gals were heading up...

True to his word, the guy in question 'Mini Trainer', has posted on the Northern section reserving 10 SNET places for a 75 car run through Heartbeat Country. The 'Heartbeat Run' details can be found here.

There are 8 places left. I can't sign up yet as I need to check what's happening at home as Katrina has a new job...... But that doesn't stop the WYIOC from having a prescence on the run itself.... If I can make it.. I will... Anyone else??

Could be up for this given the girlfriend has a Mini and never shuts up about them although she's got it into her head now that she wants a Nissan Figaro . btw Al went to Altons today. Subaru 'don't do door skins' so new door. £900 in total for bumper repair as well, got a Polo too

Said I'd be happy with any change from a grand on Saturday so guess I should have a smile on my face

Was also a white classic in there with black (carbon fibre?) scoop - anyone we know?

And I'm still not happy with it. There seems to be a flat spot at 8200rpm

That was just to warm it up, well, when I say warm, the turbo melted but we did manage to replace it with some bits from Helens hairdryer and a broken Dyson vac. Good as new Tick-over's a bit erratic now, well, non-existent actually, but it will keep running if you hold the revs above 5k, on 3 cylinders, sometimes 2. And don't worry about the wheels, I'm assured they can be balanced when we fit some new Wanli's.

Back on topic.
