Track Day
Hi everyone,
It's Dave Carter the tyre shreddar. I do like cheese strings!!!!!!! Thank you for your comments regarding my wheel alignements and my aggressive driving manner. I do not really care because I had lots of fun but many thanks to Dave (Corrodaboy) for the use of his wheels to get me home on Saturday. After taking my care to Subaru, with it only being 5 months old they have assured me that the wheel alignement is not out so I can only put the tyres being shredded down to my aggressive driving as suggested. But at least I did not go straight on at the chicane down the straight ha ha. I had lots of fun and look forward to the next time, will definately be there and as your comments suggest I am aggressive after 22 years of Motorcross for the AMCA and riding for Great Britain in 1986 this is where it obviously comes from. I will endeavour to get some expert tuition (Anger Management Classes) to stop ****ing my tyres up next time. All the best Dave Carter Hope to see you all soon

No offence intended Dave, just trying to piece together why there should be so much damage to your tyres. I think the Subaru OE alignment leaves a lot to be desired TBH and contributes to the infamous understeer inherent with the marque. Prodrive's settings help, but ultimately the limitations of the stock suspension and associated parts are the cars weak point.
Track driving can be like chess, where you play several moves in front. It is possible to take much more speed into the dogleg chicane, but at the expense of overcooking it into the hairpin. Better to compromise the entry speed of the 1st to maximise the exit of the second. But then again, being quite so **** about it spoils the fun, and just caning it is way more enjoyable
Tuition is very beneficial, and I may be contacting Bob for some one-on-one as it's not often you get to learn from a world champion.
How did you get on with the Wan(k)li tyre dealer ? Any chance of a refund
Look forward to September

He finally made it!!! Well done mate
Nothing wrong with Attacking and Aggressive... Blyton is short, tight and technical and seems to suit that style as your outright speed and Dazza's & Sticky's times prove...
A few people commented on your ability too... so I'm damn sure you'd go a lot faster if the car could counter the compression under acceleration..
I must go off and Google 'Dave Carter', I may be asking for your autograph!
BTW, was that your brother at the track too? First time I'd heard another cracking accent

Thank you all for your comments Mick thanks for the pictures. Have been told my car is only 270 brake horse so if it was quick it was probably the lead that I had stuffed in my trainer on my right foot. Don't care about the tyres nothing wrong with the tracking and on the edge is where I like to be. Will definately have to have some professional tuition so I can go ever quicker ha ha. lol. Hope to have next time full set of racing slicks and lets hope we can pull the event forward to August all the best lads see you Thursday.

Dave, it was also fascinating watching your body positions around the circuit. You were leaning into corners and really pushing the car.. just like a bike
(Disclaimer: Like me, Dave is from Gods country and therefore a fabulously good looking bloke. But I was watching his various positions and not sizing him up for a date )

my driving
With regards to leaning into corners, old habits die hard. I did a track day on my Yamaha YZF1000 R1 AT DONNINGTON AND GUESS WHAT HAD TO LEAVE EARLY AFTER ******** MY FRONT AND REAR TYRES AND BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT KNEE SLIDERS. BUT ONCE AGAIN THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. LOL HOPEFULLY FOR NEXT TRACK DAY IN CAR WILL HAVE SUSPENSION SORTED OUT AND WILL HAVE RACING SLICKS OR MAY HAVE COMPLETELY NEW CAR LOL. MAY TREAT MYSELF TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CAR (STI) OR (P1) See you all tonight.

Hi Dave
P1's have got a certain prestige, but engine reliability has been issue I am pretty certain you would melt number three.
Classic JDM STI Type R Version5 VLtd
Well to be fair any STI
