F1 testing at Silverstone - Tu/We/Th - FREE
Anyone fancy coming down to Silverstone to watch the free practise testing session this week ? Short notice I know, and most won't be able to skank off work, but thursday looks likely to be the best day weatherwise.

Was thinking maybe 6am start to be in Oxfordshire by 8am and a breakfast. Head for the track 9am. Think of heading back around 3pm, hopefully avoiding the worst of the traffic and making it back for the meet (if thursday).

OmiGod! OmiGod! OmiGod! OmiGod!
I cant believe it, I just happen to be invited to a boring convention at the Honda F1 centre on Thurs (only reason i'm going is 'cos of where it is), so if i skip the convention I could come along on the thurs and still get paid for it!
What luck............ think i shall go buy a lottery ticket.........

Right Dave. A plan...
Car needs a service, so I'm thinking drop it off at the 'Clinic on the way down and collect it on the way back.
D'you fancy following me down there in the van (thinking economically) or your motor then carrying on down to S/stone?
Should (?) be able to get enough done to free up Thursday, so it's looking like a goer

If there's gonna be 3 of us (or 4, hmmyip) then the Polo makes more sense than the van methinks. No problem with the 'Clinic drop-off
hmmyip, an invite to the Honda F1 centre must mean you could presumably blag paddock passes
PS. I don't mind using the Scoob if we're going 1/3's (or 1/4's) on fuel. A bit more room and some kudos in the car park

As Dave mentioned, an early start is required as I'll need a decent greasy breakfast and a coffee to get me going.
We need a few frugal cars or the ability to part share the fuel bill of the car you're in.
Excited? Me?

OK guys, how about 6am at The Holmfield. This way I can leave my car at Al's and jump in either the Polo or Martin's Scoob. The Scoob obviously can easily seat 4, with 3 squeezed in the Polo. I believe Sticky will be taking his Scoob as far as Chesterfield for dropping at the 'Clinic (maybe a 5.30 start ). Hopefully we'll be near the track by 8.30ish and then find a greasy spoon.

i can come yeah only got thurs off for the fox glove so Id love to come erm ive spare seats in the remo but would sooner pay money towards petrol because its nothing short of painful to drive and only does 79mph and a whopping 0-60 time of 14.8 seconds and the durability of jade goody on the london marathon so a break down could be likely
would love to come cheers james

I'm more than willing to share any fuel bill, regardless of the car in question.
6am at the Holmfield it is then, then we'll have the hour or so down to the 'clinic to decide which of you lucky, lucky people is going to have the pleasure of my company for the rest of the day as a passenger / backseat driver.

Folks with stars have (potentially) got cars
8 people = 2 cars = less expense. I'll lay of the Guinness the night before to relieve the chances of any unwanted 'aromatic' bowel activity
