Talking Al, you can have your stick back...

...I've finished poking it in the hole in the tree

Caused a bit of banter over on the VW Corrado forum CLICKY and now I feel like PS Lewis

Thanks mate There's a few lumps out of it, but don't worry, I'll repair it.

I didn't think you were stirring it.. just posting your honest & open feelings, which were taken with simmering annoyance...

The debate didn't really get off the ground in a PSL kind of way, and it was a shame the mod had locked it a little early, as your comments about driving went unheard and unanswered.

This is going to sound really bad (and it's certainly not meant too) but I think it comes down to what you can afford. Single car C owners are going to shout how good they are because the majority possibly can't move up the ladder. Those who can will ultimately move up the social ladder and will no doubt move on to a better car (not necessarliy a Scoob). I'd liken the same with Scoobs as the next step up would arguably be a M5, RS4 or Porsche....

In other words, if you could afford the next rung up driving machine or ultimately into Ferarri, Aston territory, then this would surely mean that people on here would fade away to that bulletin board and associate directly with the people on that rung of the ladder... does this make any sense??

However, one thing that separates the WYIOC is the freindship and enjoyment of the people and events that sometimes make the car itself a secondary interest. Ian said similar things when bringing his F355 & CS along to the meets... he's stayed faithful even though being able tp operate at those superb heights..

But at the end of the day, we drive most of the time alone... so that car soon regains the upperhand

Nearly brought a tear to my eye that Al

and well said David

That really is what makes this club what it is,
Car enthusiast, who can have conversation on multiple topics, but upper most Friends whom help one another out.

I for one am proud to be a part of such a great club..
