Confused!!!
No blonde comments please!!!
For those of you who know I am selling the beast, however have encountered a problem!
When I rang the finance company for a settlement figure and to consider my options, one of them being to pay half of the agreement and just return the car, to be told by the finance company that because it is just a "motor loan" and not a HP agreement the pay half is not possible. Also because of this they said that the finance isn't actually secured on the car and I could actually sell it if I wanted to.
However me being me I decided to HPI check my car and it is showing up as having outstanding finance on it. They are contradicting themselves by saying one minute that I can sell the car first and then pay them afterwards, then I receive my settlement figure in the post saying that I must settle before selling?!?!?
No-one in their right mind would buy the car without HPI checking it first and because it's showing as having HP on it (even though there isn't!?) even the dealers can't touch it. Got offered £8.4k by the way
Anyway if you can understand all the above well done and can you tell me where on earth I stand!!?

It was 2 yrs old when I bought it, but on the HPI check it's got the finance co's name and my agreement number on it.
Going to give them a call this week and give them some stick but thought I'd see what you guys had to say on the matter first!

Just to keep you updated!
Rang the finance Co yesterday - I was right in thinking it is just a loan I've got, not HP so gave them a mouthful about it showing on the HPI check. After much grovelling was told that they would fix it immediately and that it had obviously been done incorrectly at their end.

Guess I am just sad cant really imagine not having the Subaru, but if needs must.
Not sure how economical the V6 would be, I had an omega v6 and was not too good on fuel, not in the impreza leauge but none the less pretty poor.
Only got to say Hi last night was not trying to be ignorant, Good news on the HP front

Get yourself in a VAG turbo diesel. The new TDi PD engines are superb and are easily tuned to over 200bhp and over 300lbft with a zorst, air intake and remap. Not too quick off the line but amazingly rapid once moving with all that torque, and return +40mpg. Look at Ibiza/Leon/Fabia/Golf etc. FWD of course, but still competent chassis'.
