Default big off

erm ouch and whoops

going to work this morn i managed to put my car through a fench and a sign

the car's knackerd but im fine although i feeling this could be the end of the road for my scooby ownership at least for a few years

was going to take it to the clinic but its as bad as AL'S car was
sorry al
although some of you may not belive me i was'nt arseing it or messing about
this is what i remember so far .............coming up to a motorway round about something bolted across the road i swerved and the back end just went sending me right > in the direction of a bridge which i corrected but as the same time the car snapped back and the ABS went **** off and i mounted the curb and on wet grass i could not stop which is why i was sat in a sign bonza

so its back to the delights of a lantra for me just hope it's alton who do it because the car will be better than it is now

fookin magpies

my name is JAKbauer24 and this is going to be the longest day of my life

Give me your t-shirts back, I'm gonna add 'World's Unluckiest Scooby Owner' to the back.

You know where I am if you need owt, lifts, etc.

Are you sure there was no deisel on the road? Seen LOADS of it about lately, and the slightest bit of rain makes it act like an ice rink.

to you.

often.

Do you own a black cat, live at number 13, and pass below a couple of ladders on the way to your car?

Mate. You are entertainment persononified...

I've driven past you only a number of times and you've showed me through your side window your speeding FPN on the M18 and your rear number plates on the A1. You've wrecked gearboxes and then tested the new one at Elvington... Apart from gaining the title of WYIOC Head Chef I feel that Court Jester would have been likely considering the various incidents we've been hearing about ...

I have a feeling you'll still be around and that the car will be back after an initial period of mourning....

Unlucky mate.... Hope everything is not as bad as it seems and call me if you need anything..

Martin just told me about this

Glad you're OK James, feckin shame about the car but it can be fixed, hopefully Martin said there is some damage to the roof, and if so it could be bad I'm afraid

Bl00dy awful weather today, probably worse than yesterday at Scoobywet Live. I've just called off any reason to set foot outside the house. As Andy says, the amount of diesel and other sh!te all over the roads right now is a disgrace. Just a mile from my house I spotted a fresh pile of builders sand that has been dumped out of an open pick-up (probably) right on the turn-in of a blind off-camber bend

Just spoken to corradoboy, who mentioned this to me.

Really sorry to hear that mate, you have been so unlucky with that car over the short time ive known you.

i drove to Manchester and back in the early hours, and the M62 was awfull, so much surface water everywhere. Just goes to show how easy accidents happen even when we are taking it easy.

Let us know if you need anything mate.

Unhappy Oh dear

Tell you what mate, how about you and me get together, I reckon if we take the good bits from yours and replace the bad bits from mine we could finish up with a blindingly good car

Of course just exactly how long it would last if either of us drove it is anyones guess so we'd just have to sell it ASAP and enjoy the money

ps gutted for you mate

pps on the bright side if the insurance write it off at least that will solve your gearbox woes

James, is it with Alton Cars?

My assessor came around in a week or so too. Doesn't sound unduly taking the pi55 if they're busy...

Top Tip... Make sure your tyres are road legal... The first thing they'll do is take a tyre guage to the tyres... if they're illegal in any shape or form, they'll walk away and you'll have an argument to define road legal...

I had the off on the Thursday night. Rang the Insurance company at 10 ish on the Friday and Alton cars rang me back 30 mins later to book it in. I could have taken it straight down if I'd been dressed or hadn't had to snap of some broken bits. I had it in to Alton cars at 12. I drove away in Polo after 30 mins booking my car in and telling them how i wanted it dealt with etc....

Stunning service.

The hard part was the wait for it to come back...

Seems like an age now and it's all forgotten. One of those things and something you shouldn't beat yourself up over...

to be honest im not that beat up over the car its only metal and thanks to the gear box issuse ive no real bond with it but in the same sence im heart brokern over the fact ive only ever wanted a scoob turbo and nothing else and now im without it again but the worst thing is that after 10 years of lusting after one I actually could live with a corrolla 1.4 as owning this one as been nothing but expensive trouble

don't get me wrong I love being a part of the WYIOC with all you like minded people its ace and the highlight of my week especialy the impromtu's and yesterday was fantastic

but now ive got at least 2 weeks with no car and a real chance that no one will insure me come dec; would you /2 major offs and 9 points hardley the client a company wants

the main thing im not beat up over the car itself just gutted that im having to do without it again so i may sell it when i get it back as it's not ment for me still i may buy one of those rare blue one's sticky told me about

Gutted for you mate, especially after you've wanted one so long.

My 'off' pales into insignificance compared to this, it's certainly another wake up call that although we've got great handling cars a bit of water can still really upset it - I know I've certainly a lot more respect for the elements now.

Hope everything works out as well as it can and I'm sure we'll still see you around
