Default WYIOC @ The NBO

OK. We've got a few separate threads running regarding the NBO, so I thought I'd consolidate to ensure we have the numbers right...

John has got back with some details of the numbers allowed on the stand and the supplementary parking for the other club members...

Stand cars will be chosen closer to the day. But John has given us a large enough area for 16 cars. I've already pre-selected some that offer something different, unusual or are well prepped to show off. For those selected, or wanting to get on the stand, you need to be able to drive on the stand before 11am and leave it ther until later on (gone 2:30). If you've not been selected (because I'm unsure you want to show it off or commit to the time) but want to have your car on display, let me know and I'll add you to the list for final selection.

Anyone not on the stand parks in the normal arena.

So, we just need a nice simple list of who's attending and anyone whose considering camping over on the Saturday night... Pop your name down as Confirmed and I'll make you bold...

Remember this is a great day out and we'd like to have a good turn out..

Established, new and a few interested Club members are listed below (in no particular order). Those in bold are confirmed as attending.

Quite a list, eh?

1. Al & Sean - Alan C = Camping & Stand
2. Sticky & Ella (& kids) - Sticky = Camping & Stand
3. Dave & Helen - Corradoboy & girl = Stand
4. Daz & Neeve - Dazza's-STI or Atom = Stand with the Atom
5. Paul & Debs - Paul Crafts = Stand
6. Mick & Jackie - MickWRX = Stand
7. Ian & Helen - KnobbySP1 = Stand
8. Gary - Silver Sonic
9. Paul - Pauls Eds
10. Steff - Steffiraf
11. Miss Speedy - Jo
12. Barry - bgood
13. Ali - Killa = Stand
14. Martin - STI300 = Stand
15. Raf & Rachel - Rafelchandler = Camping & Stand
16. Mark - MPT = Stand
17. Andy - Apple = Stand
18. Simon - SCG = Stand
19. Simon- WhiteScooby = Stand
20. Dave C - Dave Carter & Mat = Stand
21. James - JB24 = Camping
22. Craig - ScrappyDoo
23. Chris - Chris666 = Stand
24. Chris - Harryboy
25. Steve - Stevechaps
26. Joe - Scoobyduo
27. Bob - WRX300Scooby
28. Phil - Spratty
29. Maj - MajSTI
30. Dan - D-an-W = Stand
31. Spen555
32. RLE
33. Bubba Po
34. Manda Po
35. Danny Wootton - Danny W
36. Duncan
37. Wayne's Scooby
38. LC Scooby
39. S3emo123
40. Steven - Swifty....!
41. armogedden57

My apologies if I've missed your name off, got your name wrong or got you confused with someone else but this was a tough list to compile as I've no records apart from memory (failing) and a list those of those who've paid subs..

Ping me and I'll add you after apologising profusely...

To do:
  • We need some bunting or other fancy Hi Viz border to go around the 30x15 Yd Stand area.. I can pick something up from B&Q etc if needed. Any better ideas?????
  • I'll be buying a Table & a foldaway sit down table for the gayzeebo
  • We need the Subaru Flag stickering with the WYIOC logo etc..
  • Banner Frame... Buying or making? - Andy?
  • Simon - Can you take the BBQ?
  • Martin & James - Can we have some of the same again??
  • No need for drinks - I have enough drinks left over.
  • If you wish to provide something that can make the stand standout, or make the day better for all concerned, then fill your boots. Just let me know.

Ok

I have seen a little interest in camping for this years NBO.

I have arranged a deal with a local site in Sleningford.

Its a small site, which is prepared to take group bookings for the saturday night, providing everone behaves them selves.

It looks to be a nice site, with the river Ure running through it, very popular with people partaking in outdoor activities.

The Costs....

At the moment, they have 20 tent pitches available. 10 electric hook ups and 10 non electric. If there is a gazeebo that you want to put up on the night, its usualy £2 extra, part of the deal is that this is waved, MASSIVE SAVINGS all round

Anyway,

ELETRIC pitch is £15.00 per night
STANDARD pitch is £13.00 per night.

There will be a discount on this price, how much depends on the interest there is.

Adittional info

The site is under 5 miles from Lightwater Valley.
There is a local PUB which is 1/2 a mile away
There are clean shower and toilet blocks on site
Small shop selling food and BEER

They have a web page, so take a look if you fancy camping for the NBO

http://www.ukparks.com/park_details_...D39%26page%3D2

Can all people thinking of camping, email me with specific details of the party please so that i can pass on the info to Sleningford direct

Thanks

John

Al,

Is this going to be a dual convoy to get there with the same deft organisation as for Elvington? Are stand peeps wanted any earlier to set up or is it fight / blag your way through on the field with the rest of the crowd? Isn't 11am the general start time for everyone?

Put me down for attending but not camping... Just got to find a BFO Father's Day present to keep him quiet whilst I sneak out for the day...

Al, does this mean you're camp and standing - a very nice boy!

Andy

PS I got the router up and running finally - a legacy left by Norton IS screwed things up Just need to find someone on VOIP to talk to as the address book is Billy-no-mates for now

Talking WYIOC stand details

Glad the WYIOC are getting tooled up for the NBO 4

Have posted to Alan stand details but those on the Stand will be reqd to be there for 9 ish to set up the displays as the masses inc a large convoy from yorks will be turning up at the start of the show at 11am .

Please can you ensure that everyone who is going is registered on the list for the NBO as the Insurance is to be paid for on Friday and it gets expensive for over 500 visitors so if any of you know someone is going and is not on soobynet please can you post their name on the list

thanks

See you all at ther NBO

i will be the stressedout one with a scooby

John, the WYIOC planning can be the best in the business due to the military minds of one or more members - it's just that the execution might not always run smoothly...

Who? What?

I'll pop round and have a deckski soonish.

Bunting. Official WYIOC bunting. No prob obtaining it as long as my digi printer's back on this planet, but how we gonna erect it (floodgates open...)

2 options on the flag... Buy one like Seans and iron on some WYIOC lettering, or buy some plain material and make the whole thing. Cost should be <£10

I'm well up for camp(ing) prob with wiff and skids and dogs, which would also mean taking the van, so let's load-er-up.

Disclaimer...If I'm ill the night before the van may not be in attendance

Bunting.. I was thinking of soemthing along these lines.. £3.22 for 10 mtrs. Can you print the logo on this??? Either way, we can get some 3ft ish Bamboo poles and string them along...

Subaru Flag? I'd imagine printing on the Seans flag would be easier? But the Blank flag and logo would be much better...... Let me know which you prefer.. Club will pay of course..

I'll add you to the camping list

John... LH mentioned the pleasent way of separating the various Stands... We have however, a secret weapon.

Some say he can suck beans through a straw, and that his brain has been Ecu tek'd... But we know him as Sticky... If bunting is too naff, then the Stickmeister will have a solution

Steve, I don't think Alan saw your post as if you look at the timings they were at the very same time. I have often missed posts this way. I aren't getting involved in the organisation of the NBO as I will be away in the 2 weeks running up, but I am sure your offer will be appreciated. I don't think Al meant your bunting was naff, but is just fishing for ideas. I'm sure no offense was intended.

Steve, Dave's right. I didn't see your reply.

He's also right that I was fishing for some ideas as bunting MAY be naff for some.... I actually prefer the knickers

Your kind offer is most welcome and we'll gladly take some off you if Sticky doesn't come up with a genius alternative.. (which he is prone to do)

I know you've come to a few meets and the last time we spoke (Red Sun??)you were thinking of changing your car, but a 22?? Nice one son...

We''ll definately have to meet up..
