Dales run, Sunday 11 / 06
The SMACS lads are having a run up into the Dales this Sunday, so how's about meeting up with them for a blast around Ribblesdale and Buttertubs.
Those that have done this before will know why it's unmissable.
Timings TBC, but we'll have a list for starters...

Went on the Mini heartbeat run yesterday - great little adventure although didn't do all of it. Will post video at some point. Excellent fun watching 70 minis fly around the monument at Castle Howard and fly through a ford wetting/upsetting the locals Some great roads taken in too. The road up to the monument is fantastic - basically a rollercoaster for cars, shame on the way up we got stuck behind 5 MR2s - I think it was the over 60s branch though as they were unbelievably slow

I can vouch for the amazing roads / views etc...
Sticky is a great tour guide, even hangs out of the car and points things out to you
You do realise what time he makes you wake up...right

Timing's nowt to do with me on this one, we're in the hands of the SMACS crew.
(Don't think they're man enough for a 4am start )

8:00??????
The roads will be full before you set off! Bunch of softies, what's wrong with 4:00... or 3:30???????
I'll have a look at the route and plan a rendezvous at a mutually acceptable location.

Yeah, but they're a real PITA. If it's something you've seen on sale elsewhere then I'd suggest you go with that, if you're wanting something unique then I can do it, reluctantly. It's like working with liquid snot, only much, much gooier.
So, WYIOC chaps, watch this space for timings and meet up points. Should have something sorted by about lunch today.

Right folks.
SMACS are meeting in Sockport at 5am, so can I suggest that we do the same at PC World in Leeds (The one just off the M621) at the same time, 5am.
From there we'll make our way up to the Ribblehead viaduct and either meet the SMACS lads there for a run ove Buttertubs, or depending on time, pop into Ingleton for a 'Caver's Breakfast' and the biggest slice of flapjack you've ever seen. This okay with everyone?

2-scg
3-Dave Carter
Not the biggest group in the world, but who cares

Bernie's Cafe in Ingleton. Usually go there to refuel after nice 4am start mountain bike rides up Inglebrough in OCTOBER!!!! Brrrrrrr!
Very nice brekkie, pint o' tea, etc.
Shall we make this the official rendezvous point?
Address is 4 Main Street, Ingleton, CARNFORTH LA6 3EB
Reckon we could be there for 7:30 - 8:00, but not sure when they open.
Perhaps meet there and pop up over Buttertubs if we're early?

Reckon we should meet there, as there's plenty of piccie opportunities to while away a little time if we have to wait for one another.
There's a dirt track leading to the bridge right next to the pub.
See you there.
