Talking Just passed my driving test.....again !

Just passed my ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) Pt.2 driving test this morning on my 1st attempt A 1hr test and only 6 minor faults allowed. Just scraped it with 6 and another couple of recommendations that the examiner chose to overlook as the overall standard of my driving was acceptable. Another 5-6 weeks and I should be able to begin teaching on a trainee license, and about 3 months or so to become fully qualified if I pass the next 3hr exam

'Moff out to celibrate now

It'll be easy teaching your son Steve as you'll have given him plenty of lessons beforehand in the Scoob You do let them in it now don't you

Don't think I'd pass my test if I took it today. Too many bad habits.

Dave, well done mate

Sticky, yep picking your nose whilst on the test would most likely be considered driving without due care

That's been the focus of the last 10 weeks of tuition. Bad habits and stuff you'd forgotten, along with stuff they've changed. They don't like you changing gear now. Apparently your supposed to make a single decision as late as possible as to whether you need to stop, and so 1st, or can proceed, hence 2nd. All the "right gear at the right time" stuff is out of the window in favour of less time with your hands away from the wheel. Makes it a little awkward when you've been cruising at 70 in 5th and the car is grumbling at 200 revs at 8mph as you decide which gear you're gonna need. 3 of my 6 minors were for going down the 'box

Sticky, one I've spotted on you is sitting on the footbrake when stood. The rule is 3 secs or more and apply the handbrake. They say it's for safety if you get hit as in the impact your foot may well leave the pedal making your car more moveable. I say it saves boiling your brake fluid and warping your discs

I didn't pick it

I was born with it.

If I'd chosen it myself it'd have been a bit smaller and straighter
