Lightbulb FS - APS decat up-pipe

Provisionally sold !

As my car is going to pastures new I won't be needing the bits I've been arranging for the planned power upgrade

Up for grabs is an APS decat up-pipe. Direct replacement on any new-age, WRX or STi.

£70

Ian (bandit890) may also have a GGR sports cat down-pipe on offer. Ali had been reserving me a Walbro fuel pump and STi TMIC too which may still be available.

Free-er flowing for faster spool-up. Came off an STi where it was quite beneficial, although they don't have a pre-cat IIRC. A massive gain on WRX's with the pre-cat in the OE up-pipe.

Mike, YHPM.

Not too sure as I bought the UP second hand from the SIDC forums. It looks in fine condition and just needs the right fitment bolts and gaskets. Whoever fits it on your behalf should be able to source the right stuff for you.

Gaskets and studs in stock to the lucky lucky buyer, not nice to fit but I think I could do a deal.

sub1600 is something like this a worth while addition to a WRX with PPP? Or are we talking MOT fails & MIL light issues?

I also need to ask you about Air Con decon's and a bloody annoying dash rattle I have...

Dan, when you consider the only restrictions left in your exhaust are the pre-cat and DP cat then you can sense the improvement in spool up and turbo speed, and there's no problems with the MOT. A good mapper will fix any CEL issues too, if there are any. Combine it with the fuel pump, TMIC and a good remap to get the best out of it and you could be pushing 300+, but a very drieable 300 with very early spool-up so hardly any lag. It's probably about as far as you can push the internals and 'box of a WRX, apart from maybe a bigger turbo and some bigger injectors to get 315 or so. IMHO that would make a WRX a beter drivers car than a 380bhp STi, especially if I'd done it to mine with the AST's and stuff

I wasn't expecting you to fix them (Even though the car is under warranty), to be honest I would rather sort them myself

What type of AirCon decon do you recommend and where do you apply it to, the recycle flap seems to be above the glove box?

The rattle stops if I press the left hand side of the radio so I was going to whip it out and reseat it you come across any similar complaints before?
