Went drag racing Sunday

reaction: .622
60' 1.904
1/8th 7.3 @95mph
1/4 11.5 @ 115.51
the other run 115.7 i remeber that...
i'm not hot on drag times, i was told the 60' wasn't too good, and tBH i'm not suprised the tyres were flat cold i drove 60m from where it had been parked for an hour and then through the water where the big boys were doing the burnouts, result was even starting in second i just couldn't hook up the rear, leaving two black lines of the line and a fair amount of oposite lock, and the same in third... not too bad a result though...
what you think?
i think with warm rubber the 60' could come down another 3-4 tenths, so maybe a very low 11, I'm pretty swift with the gear changes and had good changes on both runs so its unlikly the later part of the run could be improved by too much maybe 1-2 tenths if at all.
Daz
PS
funny thing was i recorded one then spun the cam around to look backward, wasted an Audi RS6 the second run only to find it hadn't recorded... DOH! Anyhow he was so far away with a 13.4 that the video probably wouldn't have picked him up

Daz... nice one mate....
Captured the sound of the Supercharger very well....
11.5? I agree you could probably get it down a few tenths with a few practice starts and warm tyres, but still, it looked bloody quick!
If you'd posted on here, you may have got some support!! Not from me though, as I was at Football
You coming Thursday?

Only just caught the video mate,, that really does sound hooked up mate. I love the honest response too fella.
possibly some purposeful rubber on the rears would see you in the 10's don't think that is too over optimistic given that run and mid 11's
top drawer mate

I'd say a 115 terminal is about right for a RWD car with wheel spin of the line, juudging by looking at drag times... what were you expecting....??? I reckon it will run a 10 with a good hookup... Acceleration ET and Terminals can be a complex thing.... its doesn't always work out as you think as far as i can telll, and i'm no expert....
what does your run Dave.?

Ah, but 'twern't a DVD, Twas on M&M at 8pm.
All he had to do was ask their lass to pass him the 'phone (he can't reach it) and give me a bell.
The fact that I was tootling about the Woodhead Pass at the time is irrelevant, he didn't know that!
My previous statement still stands.

The fact that I'd just got back from a busy day at the Savoy is also irrelevant.

Been playing about with the revs and i looks like there was a fair bit left in it, i changed to 6th before the line mad that was becouse i was only using upto 7200... did the same last night holding on till 8k and it's quite a bit faster, i'd always been used to 7k as a limit, unlike bounce it of the limiter mick, i can't get my head around 8200rpm... Anyhow missing out one change and using all the revs would have made a 10 no probs :-)
Need to have another crack now...

From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

Its certainly not shabby, but I expected a higher terminal speed given its power to weight ratio.. and Im not taking the ****, just passing comment.

You need to plot your power curve and then work out your shift points..
Anyway my car doesnt run any times, as it is no more!!.. the new car, well I'd like 9's but Ill be happy with 11's and around 160mph terminals. as opposed to my previous 130+ but on paper thats one thing, not snapping shafts and the gearbox shifting when it should is another
If you want an idea of how quick my car is, Ask AndyF, he has driven it, and done a 12 sec 1/4 in it!! LOL.

Nothing wrong with high revs mate, more so with a v-tec they thrive on a higher rev range. if thats where the power goes, thats were the foot goes
I'll show you mate at blyton
In mine of course
