2 years, 8 months and 1 day
January 28th 2004....the first pics...
...today...the last pics...
...gutted...
Sold the car today. 2 years, 8 months and 1 day. No accidents, no points, no pulls, no thefts, no malicious damage, no breakdowns. 1x O2 sensor, 1 wheel bearing, 1x EGT sensor and a loose Prodrive I/C pipe were the only hardships. STi wing £100 courtesy of Alan AST coilovers £100 courtesy of Simon STi alloys with RE070's £100 and yet another bargain Prodrive flaps were free courtesy of HawkTheScoobSlayer. Went through a few sets of expensive brake pads before Paul Eds showed me a much more balanced style of driving, and the fuel was a burden. I don't regret a single bit of it, except watching it disappear around the corner without me today, but now I can focus on my careers which will ultimately provide the replacement.
Best wishes to Bryan, the new owner. I hope she's as good for you, and you're as good to her as I was. Many thanks to everyone I've met and shared many fun times with over the years, I look forward to more even though I'm Scoobless
Roll on the 380bhp+ Forester STi with AST's etc

Was that rain all over the car or tears Dave?
Very gutted for you mate. I'm stressing about mine a bit too at the moment as work has gone **** up and I could be relocated which would mean bye bye scooby. Things look like they'll sort themselves out but there's still a reasonable chance that it may come to an end just as I've spunked a load of money on it
Take it out on a shed tomorrow

Sad day indeed as the car was spot on maybe a bit more power but thats all, but you need to move on, roll on twin scroll, or the Forester sti (ppp)
It's been good meeting you and the others, like doing the little mods (air duct removal etc)
will see you soon..now get teaching those young uns..

Oh dear
I have to say I agree with Mick, you do look proper gutted in those photos mate
The thing to remember though is, you owned and drove a scooby, an iconic car which many would give their left arm just to have 1 drive in. You got to experience the burble, the acceleration, the grip and the fecking huge GRIN
So when you're older and greyer and sitting there reminiscing in your high back chair in the nursing home, a little bit of dribble running from the corner of your mouth and with a slight wiff of wee about you, you'll at least be able to say that you used to own an awesome car - a scooby!!!
Good luck for the future mate, not that you really need it, you'll be just fine
