PAUL CRAFTS - Eleven Point Nine Seconds
As some will be aware Paul Crafts run his car at York Drag strip today, accompanied by some other WYIOC'ers
Pauls first run of the day was a super respectable 12.1 seconds. not bad at all, more so given this was straight out of the bag with no warm ups.
Bettter was still to come though, Pauls second run was an awe inspiring 11.9 seconds YEP 11.9 seconds.. second run of the day
As most will know Pauls car is not running the ideal gearbox for this sort of event, nor is the true potential of his car yet unleashed, as he his still only running 1 bar of boost restricted to protect the ra's box.
You can only dream of what this car will do when its running more boost and a more suitable box....
Hats off to you Paul and Debbie, truly respectable as you know
Paul and his car won 1st place trophy for best/fastest in class
Additionally Paul was fastest down the strip all day full stop....
as we all know Paul has put an enormaous lot of work into his car recently, with some very good weight saving campaigns and gear shifter modification
sure Paul will be along soon to fill us in on any details but all I can add is:-
Well done Paul and Debbie.... total respect

Thanks a lot lads, just like to say the car would have done a better time than that. But just when we thought every thing was going good.......Yes the gearbox went **** up
But like ive said before that's what it's all about........on ward and up wards let's see what 2007 brings.
Scooby shootout should be the first date for the car next year, lets see if we can brake into the 10s

although my Sti ran a 13.01 best a second on the 1/4 mile is a huge difference, shaving 10ths off can cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and equate to 100's of bhp per 10th... so a very credible time...
a couple of tenths difference may not sound much but its a long way at the finnish line... 11.9 would have been way infont on my Sti...
for example...I was up against a 490bhp Audi titty that ran a 12.7 against my 11.5 and it was miles away at the line...
I think we may have someone to cheer on next year now!!!
