Lightbulb Wish I'd know about this soone - For those who remember the proper Rally GB

Saw this featured on the local news last night and it brought back memories of my childhood, stood freezing my bits off in a dark Dalby Forest waiting for a glimpse of Ari, Timo and the rest, back in the days when the Rally GB was just that, and not just the Rally of the S. West Corner of Wales as it is now.

Just in case any of you can spare the time.... CLICKY

Will definately set some time aside for this next year.

Default Damn too late !

I was there too, back in 1976.... cough ! Even in the dark of Dalby forest.
Shame it's so close to the event, but might be a fun run out in the rain.... Even if I don't have a digtal camera.
Maybe next year....

My dad used to be part of the emergency radio team that followed the entire rally round and even got to go round some of the stages to make sure that they were safe and clear.

I was lucky enough to go with him one year and got some of the best vantage pointes going!!!!!

One of those things that we stay with me for a lifetime!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!!

Plenty of interest then, so let's make this a "must do" for next year
