No... just goes to show how strong a rally car is... with a fully brased rollcage and every weld redone and strengthened, along with additional bracing front to back and underfloor... do that in anything else and it would have been on several trailers... and they'de have been in a couple of box's sorry to say... the safety cell in FIA spec car is hugley strong but big impacts mean huge amounts of energy and somtimes even the strongest kit won't hold out...
RIP Mark Lovel... a top guy...

....These cars.... Daz... does mean a rally car,if it had been a standard subaru then the end result would have been a lot worse..And like u say, just shows how well put together these cars really are. And how far away from the standard thing they are..

Saw Petters new car on display at Montys some time ago, I think the only thing it had in common with a "normal" Scoob were the front and rear lights.

We saw the preparation of the WRC cars on the prodrive tour....

After getting an unpainted empty shell from Subaru, prodrive then proceed to cut most of the car away and replace it with a cage and other re-inforcing struts.. we saw a test bed that was stress testing the various chassis and other points with small micrometers and vibration sensors... all in the name of shaving more away without taking anything from the rigidity..all panels are then removed and replaced with carbon. Apart from the roof that is...

Still... main thing is.. it's got a SUBARU badge!
