Been along Hardknott and Wrynose many times, along with almost all the great driving roads in The Lakes

Hardknott itself can often be a bit of a let-down as it is often too twisty, wet, dangerous and crowded with trundling flat-cap drivers, good fun 4 wheel drifting the hairpins though. As a driving road I much prefer Ribblesdale, or in Cumbria the Kirkstone Pass.

Anyhow, I ain't got no Scoob right now so I can't join you Have fun.

I be very suprised if you of all people couldn't get a run out with someone from the WYIOC, pick an old git like me and I'd probably need a nap about halfway round, and therefore a co-driver......

It's a date Although I doubt you'll get any sleep

If it's to be worth doing it needs to be a full day, taking in Strines, Snake, Cat'n'Fiddle, a pootle up the M6, Hardknott, Wrynose, Kirkstone, Honister and Whinlatter, returning via Buttertubs, Ribblesdale, and all the Dales has to offer.

When we goin'

How many fuel stops does this require and are there any petrol stations in these remote extremes of the NORTH.
