Unhappy Mucky stuff....

After following the wise words on here (?) I removed the air intake resonator, and can't say it did much (positive) to the performance, but some nice sound effects.... the air filter was supposed to have been changed at the end of September, but since it's visit to Bowetts it has had a severe drink problem....
6 mpg at Blyton
18 mpg round Leeds
24 mpg on a run out i.e. Dalby....
Has any one else had similar problems, with this mod ?
Or with cold air intake mounted in the wheelarch void, was going to get APS
kit before re-map....
thanks in advance,
Dunx

Made absolutely no difference to my fuel economy when my air box resonator was taken out (put a Green panel filter in at same time).

Also after recent remap fuel consumption is exactly the same as when I first bought the car too.

Default More mucky stuff

Yes got a bit off track, have had 23 mpg round town and closer to 30 mpg on a run....

but more worried about destroying ( blathered) an air filter in less than 8 weeks....
