Ok peeps I'm starting to stick together a 2006 DVD with some of the WYIOC highlights.....which hopefully will materialise in said year

There are a few things I may need some help with.......

- One thing I am stuck on is a cover. I've got Nero Premium so I could generate the covers no problem......but don't have a printer. As it will save the file in a Nero format I can't take it into work to print out. SO does someone have Nero/similar AND a colour printer OR is someone able to produce a cover by other means. (I'll be using the slim DVD boxes you can get....can let you know measurements)

- Could do with a picture that has the maximum number of WYIOC cars on it for the cover e.g. something from NBO or recent calendar shoot Would also be good to have a different picture with lots of cars on for the DVD background

- What are people's thoughts on how many are required. Should I do a job a lot then we can hand them out at a later date or shall I just do them for people who actually want them....Al one for you maybe?

- Extra video footage. Does anyone have any footage they could whack on a disk preferably in .avi or .wmv format that I could include? I've possibly got enough to fill a DVD but the more variety the better. Daz / Sticky / Raf / WhiteScooby you got anything?

I would be up for one for sure mate, attendance is so up and down at meets its difficult to guage quantities. I would of thought 20 would more than cover active members.

Most of the video I have a is from here, but I do have a frew CD's from Jon Cass from last years Blyton and a CD from Ian (Knobby) of the Ferrari & other cars circulating Elvington...

I've also got a Dales run CD from the 2nd jan 06... was this your copy??

if you want them and the pics & vids I have, I'll take them to Squires or meet up as I'm off this week doing the house up and moving...

That's excellent stuff mate . I've got all my stuff vids wise but any other vids that have appeared online from others would be greatly appreciated as these can't usually be download from the sites - although I believe there is a tool that you can get to go with Mozilla Firefox that can get around it which I'll look at. Additionally they often have to be reduced in size to be uploaded which may look good on a 2 inch window but may not translate well on to the posh WYIOCers 42" LCD TV screens.

If I could grab this off you at next week's mate that would be great.

- Mick do you have a copy of your 'drift' as I only got half of that incident on my own camera at Blyton. btw you know on YouTube when a vid's finished and it recommends links to other vids the one after yours was "Ask a gay man a question"

 

Alan can you transfer my pics that sticky took of my car sorry don't know how to do it

 

I could mate, but it may be easier for you to ask Sticky for the originals as the one's online will be low resolution (shrunk in size to allow them to be saved) and therefore won't look as good on screen when they are resized..

If you want some on your drive now to look at in a picture viewer, then you can down load them straight away yourself from SNET to get the lower res ones...

I'm assuming you're using Internet Explorer(?) if so; Find the picture(s) you want and do the following to each one..

1. Put the mouse pointer over the picture and right click the mouse...
2. Select 'Save Picture as'...
3. When you see the 'save picture' box, select the place you want to save it (somewhere in My Pictures) and click 'ok'.. it will then download in a few seconds (remember where you saved them!!)

That should do it...

If you're struggling, let me know and I'll do it and email them to you..
