So who got a tug on the way home last night?
We did, even after taking 'evasive' action thanks to a heads-up from Aileen. Decided to take the old A1 south to the '62, was followed all the way by a Mondingo. Stuck to the speed limits all the way, only to be joined after a couple of miles by a BMW which approached at speed and slotted in between us and the Dingo. Got out of the 40 limit into NSL, so gave it a bit, but still stuck to 70. Mondingo comes flting past doing at least 90 and the Beemer pulls me!
In fairness he only kept us for a minute, informing us that there'd been a spate of thefts of Scoobs in the area recently so they were stopping every one they saw just to check they were being driven by the owners. (Busy for them last night then )
He mentioned that they had 3-4 marked and a couple of unmarked Imprezas in the area too, so keep 'em peeled folks, and don't get baited into breaking any limits
AFAIK Jim and Steve also got tugged.
Don't mind this kind of policing at all (actually told the guy that it was a change to see them doing something useful, didn't mean it to come out that way, it just did ) but it was a little annoying that he'd elected to let the Mondeo shoot off at speed. Suppose I'd be feeling differently if it had been our car that was nicked.

There was a subaru at the front..marked and an unmarked at the side of me, think it was gold in colour? Bad light
They also where pleasant about it, if not a little heavy handed to be honest.

Just Missed ????
Saw a strippy Volvo, heading into Rothwell, thanks for the "tow" from scg....
Well saw his eyes out on stalks for 0.1 milliseconds....
Then I was long gone, he didn't even try a u-turn to catch me !
Good to see a big turnout, but how do I get a pastie.....
( Should take a proper look round the place....)

No police interference on the way home, just had a nice 'window down , drop to 4th and blast it' through the tunnel between M1 and M62....although not quite at CB speeds

Ali & me saw a plod sat at a roundabout near the bottom of the A162. Glad we took the different route home. As others said, it's good to see them being pro-active
