Question Quick Shift Question

Has anybody had a quick shift fitted to a new age STI - and if so what were your impressions?

The car will be doing quite a bit more track time this coming year so just wanted to canvass some hands on experience before doing anything.

Welcome any feedback/advice

Dave. I believe my T20 has quick shift... It certainly feels closer than the Prodrive setup I had on my old WR Sport.

I've driven a few stock STI shifts, and the difference is noticeable... probably taking a few centimetres out of the throw..

It's not 'notchy' either, but smooth and confidence inspiring as you can slot gears fractions quicker... It's not sequential box quick, but would definately save you many seconds over distance...

It's a bit hard to explain... it's like my quick rack.. now that is another noticeable improvement..

If you haven't got it fitted by the time Blyton comes around.. take the car for a spin on the perry track to see what you think..

Thanks Guys,

slowly working through the possible enhancements before touching ther engine and it looks like a quick might be money well spent.

Might also cure the notchy 4th to 5th transition that I have.

Will check with my local dealer - so thanks for the price -might even get my 10% SIDC discount

I'm guessing but the £225 will be for the official Subaru one out of the accessories catalogue - and dealer pricing structure on top

The £90 one is aftermarket price and probably plus fitting or DIY - it's up to you to decide on the cost / performance ratio
