Jap gathering, chinwag, cuppa and maybe a bit of grub. Tell al jap peeps about it get ya sens down there!!

I'd wait to see what the powers-that-be at Xscape say first. Car park is usually full to the brim on a Sunday, and they're proper, proper keen on anyone who parks there and just has a 'chat'

If they aint got permission then it'll fall on it's ****.

Could always move it to McDeadcows car park.

 

Dont think mcdeadcows would be big enough for this..!!

 

If they don't got permission from Xscape (and they don't ) then it'll be either McD's, Ponty park, or Currys/Comet, and the Ecilops (fine drivers that they are ) won't like any of those options.

Think I'll give it a miss unless here's some serious organisation put into it. You can't just turn up at places like Xscape and hope to hold a meet for potentially 100s of motors and just expect the management to let it go. The car park is there for a reason, and lately on Sundays even the overspill has been at 3/4 full.

A better bet would have been to sort out an officially sanctioned venue first, then start publicising.

Isn't Squires used for the official all-marques Jap-meet in the warmer months

 

I tried this with the management and head of security at Xscape when I was on the MG ZR forum. Basically the term "the right hand must not know what the left hand is doing" comes to mind. They were crap at communication within the 'ranks' and the jobsworth of security guards kicked us out even though we had a letter of written consent from the management! When I showed it and said we weren't going anywhere but inside Xscape they became very aggressive and insulting.

Basically, this "meet" isn't going to happen in my opinion. Its an excuse to try and get the local cruise in there and it won't work. I'm in the same view as Sticky on this. Should have been arranged properly.
