Supporters Welcome @ Elvington
Heads up team...
Orf to Elvington in the morning for a hoon around at the Javelin trackday...
I know its short notice but the weather looks ok, and I've got an itch to mad so a last minute booking was in order...
Anyhow Anyone who fancies coming along for support is more than welcome, Javelin want £5 on the door per additional passenger in the car, so if you fancy being scared then the passenger seat will be available if you ask Mick he'll vouch for the buttock clenching factor 150 at the end of the long bit and sidways at over 100 around the large bend does summon the concetration a little
I'll be there around 9am onward...

Top day out today .. the first few laps was the first time I've ever been scared in a car
Not too bad once I got used to it, and sideways at high speed becomes fun instead of a twitchy moment! Next time your going let me know . . I'll book mine on too. . . should have probably just gone for it today

Will be taking the Scoob to the next one, funds permitting.
Can't express my gratitude to Daz enough. The loon let me take the Atom out a couple of times, and after getting over the initial fear (Yes, I've driven it before, but every time is like the first, you just know the thing's gonna bite ) I settled down and enjoyed myself immensely.
Don't think I scared Simon as much as Dazza did.
Whole day was topped off by being treated to a fantastic 'chase the Evo down' session in the wet, which turned each and every corner into a massive slide, twitch, catch, slide, sssslllliiiiiiiiiddddeeeee, twitch, catch, etc.
Dazza; I meant every word I said mate. Pure, gobsmacking, riotous fun!
We were also in the presence of an Audi Quattro Sport S1, in original Group B spec and colours, a stunning Mk2 Escort Harrier, and a chap in a Chevette HS drifting around every corner with immense skill. Full marks to the organisers for letting him play and entertain us all.

The hs Chevette is there most of the time.....also his brother in a saff cossie, it's a shame the price has had to go up from £95inc to £119! ... because £ for £ this was the best value day out anywhere ,the rise in price due to the court costs.

They did mention that the price would be going up (It was £95 today) and briefly mentioned the court case.
The noise limit has also been reduced to 103db from 105db.
Not sure how this would affect the majority of us, perhaps best to take a bung along on the day, just in case.
