Trackday - Elvington 17th February
After the problems I had at Blyton, I've decided to give another trackday a go, hopefully I will be able to drive home from this one
Anyone fancy going along to this?
Javelin Trackdays | Trackday and Airfield Driving Days at Cadwell Park, Elvington and other circuits
Cost is £119 for the day, I will be booking in the next couple of weeks, anyone who wants to go, follow the link and get a booking made

Hi there - yup was looking at this a couple of nights ago - might well book, need something in Feb after my last road rally and before a trip to Barkston Heath.
Lets see if Dazza is up for it - I need a ride in his Atom - so as to recalibrate to real speed

Si / Daz - what's the layout of the track at Elvington for the Javelin days as I've not been to one. Could be interested. And are there any barriers to crash into......

Just had an email back regarding the noise limits at Elvington . . .
Hi Simon
I appreciate you asking the question as it shows you are thinking about the
noise problems that effect us all .
Noise limit is 102dba tested at half a metre from the exhaust at a 45 degree
angle at 3/4 max revs ( I guess around 6k on a type R). There is also now a
drive by limit of 85 dba tested at 20meteres from the track(quite a distance
so you have be unacceptably loud to break this limit). A good rule of thumb
is that if you think it is loud then everyone else thinks it is ridiculously
loud.
A good Audio shop should have a noise meter. Alternatively I can book you in
on the basiis that the entry is only accepted and the car allowed to run
subject to passing the test. If you book it in without without this
arrangement then there will be no refund if the test is failed.
The worst case scenario from our viewpoint is someone turning up with a
loud exhaust early morning and waking up the locals.
Kind Regards
Colin

I have a standard STi pipe i think if anyone needs to pop it on...
I'm having a custom pipe made for the Atom from Zorstec shipley, but will be able to swap it, anyone used them BTW?

Anyone who might be going and is concerned about the noise restrictions . .
I have one of these Digital Sound Meter
I'll bring it along to Squires tomorrow if anyone wants to check their car . . I've only got it for the next few days, before it needs returning
