Just hatching the idea at the moment, but it would involve an early start to get us to the East coast (Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby or similar) by sunrise.

Brekky at a certain McDeadcow's in Middlesbrough

Trek through the Dales and find somewhere nice for lunch

Head off throught the Lake District, taking in Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, and getting to the West Coast in time to see the sun go down.

Back home in time for TG

I'll be planting a couple of hundred trees to offset my carbon emissions

This isn't a "who's working next Sunday" poll FFS!!!!!

Besides, I know what 'work' entails for you Dave, and it'd be subject to a 'trades descriptions act' investigation IMHO

Stop interupting, I'm trying to watch The Thing. Top Gear was good wasn't it ! Did my accounts and diaries whilst some boring program about **** was on ITV4.

Anyway, wasn't a coast to coast, sunrise to sunset run my idea about 2 years ago I don't think I'd enjoy it in my Coarser however

Oh, almost forgot. Prcoessed 32 pages of April's Essentials magazine earlier, and that's w*rk

Dave, just out of interest, where are you now?

That's right now, as in NOW! This exact moment in time?

Don't want a geographical location or a postcode, just select from one of the following multiple-choice options...

a) Work
b) Home

Go ahead...

First refusal for my passenger seat has gone to someone else (But he'll be too busy riding his fookin motorbike )

You have the next shout if your's is fooked

Now go away and stop interfering with the "Where's Dave now" thread

Ah....

See, the problem with the above post is Dave forgot that SN only allows words up to about 30 letters before it tries to stick a fookin space in somewhere....

The best fa rts have a break to allow you to draw more breath for an extended push

Sounds like an interesting run, apart from the two Ms, Is this the Xbox 360 budget spent or is Bri in for an inflation busting Price rise.

Will this be a family friendly run or will it involve break- neck speeds to achieve the coast to coast challenge.

Nah, it'll be a steadily paced day. We've got loads of time to do it in, so it'll be nice and relaxed with plenty of photo stops and a decent break for lunch.

What Xbox?

I'm sure Bri won't mind too much. especially as I didn't confirm the price last night (Sticky money-making tactic no.1 )

Update...

Sunrise will be around about 7:30

Sunset is something like 5:15

(Like the accuracy? )

That gives us almost 10 hours to do around 150 miles.

If we leave at 5am we should be in Whitby (or thereabouts) by 7:10

That gives us
