War of the Worlds (almost) Live
Due to a lack of funds and the organisational skills of a small inebriated mollusc, last years plans to go and see this went a little 'wonky'
I would therefore like to propose the following...
Having just bought the DVD of WOTW Live (Indeed, I'm watching / listening to it as it type... the lid's just fallen off ) I think we should have a night at Sticky's to sit / stand (depends how early you arrive) and observe the spectacle that is WOTWL.
Following this, anyone who does not want to go see it in the flesh will be shot, buried in the back garden, and their car sold on eBay to raise funds for the rest of us (Those who have souls) to buy some tickets for the Sheffield event on December 14th
I propose an evening this week when there's nowt much going off, say Wednesday, arrive 7:45 for an 8:00 viewing. If you want to bring drinks may I suggest Nescafe Dolce Gusto pods, either Latte or Cappppppuuccccccino, £2.99 from Asda
Anyone?
Or if I've buggered up with the time / date let me know.

I actually did manage to get my **** in gear and go last year.........no that's quite a bit of a lie actually the Mrs got me tickets for a suprise birthday present
I have to say it was pretty impressive, the chaps vocals to start with were a bit dodgy but got better. The 'narrator' hologram was brilliantly well done and the film in the background worked well. The tripod coming down onto the stage was just the right side of Spinal Tap and it was pretty cool when it started heat-raying people in the audience (no gratitude eh )
I'd definetly recommend going. I've got the DVD too but still haven't watched it, I think it was filmed at Wembley which was allegedly the worst performance with quite a few sound glitches - although I'm sure they sorted that out on the DVD. Also Wembley is a complete craphole which I think got people off to a bad start.
I was too far back to see Beth, maybe I'll have to give the DVD a spin sooner rather than later.
Der Der Der. Der Der Der.......
