Question MOT needed, anybody recommend somewhere?

As above really, MOT due very soon, can anyone recommend somewhere in or around Wakey, particular interested in somewhere that's NOT going to try and test the brakes using those roller things which will kill the diff

Barry, try Zac & Drew at precious metals...

That's why I mentioned Precious.. as they once owned a couple of Scoobs and well.. needed a MOTer who knew how to... replace... any offending exhaust sections before running the test..

That's not really a problem Al, last time I had mine done it was done at Autocentre and passed the emissions test as it is, it's a 93 so doesn't have to have a cat and so only has to pass a basic emissions test

Only took it to them though cos I got some discount with my AA membership, they were a proper bunch of monkeys though, will not be going back

Is this the one in Wakey?

The Mrs had a similar problem with the A Class.. seemed the guy had trouble writing the letter 'A' to start the form off.

Hello Everyone,

We can definatly sort you all out with MOT's, we use the MOT test station over in the same industrial estate as us and have a very good working relationship with them. As for emmisions, as mentioned sometimes the car might acutally pass with out the cats on. However if required we have standard used cats in stock that for a small fee we can quickly fit to your car and take it round for the MOT that way . The only down side is the MOT cost, he charges £40 but i may be able to talk him into offering a small discount for scoobynet members if we pass enough MOT's his way.

If any of you want to discuss feel free to PM me or call us on 01977 674785.

Hi ya Martin,

If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for the magnex? did they fit it for you too? if so how much.

Just wondering as we can do some good prices on all scooby exhausts and also offer discount to scoobynet members.

Cheers,

Drew.

It passed

Got 3 advisory notes though but they are all minor things and I already knew about 2 of em and there were no hidden costs either it really is just £25 at Well Lane for an MOT

Oh yeah, they will fit your old cat for the purposes of the MOT if you take it along with you or if you haven't got it they have some stock ones they can use, sorry forgot to ask how much they charge to do that though.
