Default Put this in General as well, but thought i'd ask u lot as well

Hi everyone, just after some info really,i've got a 99 2.0lt turbo wagon ,and i'm wanting to get it re-mapped...

Just wondering where u guys/girls,suggest i take it , at the moment the car as full de cat ,and jr panel filter and thats about it really..

Also i've heard i may be best going for a stand alone apexi unit,as i could sell this on when come to sell car,is this also a better option(power wise)..

Also any info on rough prices/power figures (after re-map) would be much appreiciated.....

Thanks in advance......

By the way i'm Yorkshire based (Leeds).....

I'm biased of course....

They are a bit of a trek.. but Powerstation are arguably the best..

Their work is second to none and of course is represented in the T series motors and, I quote "Upgrade with confidence with the critically acclaimed engineering behind the Evo magazine Car of the Year finalists 2003 & 2004, and Autocar magazines Drivers Car of the Year Finalists 2003 & 2004."

Not forgetting the T20 Tuner GP winners, Time attack winners etc etc...

One thing I will say is that any work Rich does to get the power will be road legal (unless you specify something like the Track day setup..). Therefore your power figs may be a little down, but it won't stress your car and will pass road side tests...

I'd recommend them at the drop of a hat and say they are worth the trip just to look at the Litchfield showroom next door...

Don't just take my word...Ask both Dave's, Simon and anyone else who's visited them...

A JDM Twinscroll map is £550+vat

But....

Subaru Impreza Classic (MY92 - MY00)
Street Legal Package
EcuTek Re-Map*
3" Milltek Exhaust with Sports CAT (decat pipe for the track is £200 cheaper)
K&N Filter
£1399
inc. Comprehensive Warranty
* remap for MY99+ only

I agree with Al on Powerstation, top guys. You could also look into Richard Bulmer whom used to be Carlos Sainz engine map specialist and worked for many years at TSL, now running his own tuners. Andy F is certainly well regarded too. Pat Herbourn who does Scoobyclinics mapping is also well respected. Other than that, the SMACS guys favour Prosport.

I'd say Ecutek is the way to go and Andy F certainly seems to know his stuff where that's concerned, I'd hazard a guess that he's cheaper than Powerstation too and although he's based in Scotland there's probably not that much difference mileage wise between him and Powerstation, just my 2p

What I will say is that if you're just after the remap, then any of the established mappers will undoubtedly do a top job..

My like of Powerstation is their end-to-end engineering excellence.. So if you wanted to have some suspension etc to go with the engine.. there's only one choice.

Default Tractive for a map.....

Recently been to the above, engine is really smooth, and pulls to the red-line now, doesn't get out of breath above about 6500 rpm anymore....
