EOM Meet @Squires - 29th March...
Now.. I got into some right trouble last month.. There's me all well intentioned to cheer JB up and I end up turning the miserable git into Morrisey..
Mick was livid!!! After getting up slowly from his chair and holding his smashed ribs into place and hobbling through the pain on legs covered in bruises, he pinned me up against the wall...well, pin may be too strong a word.. more like propping himself up.. but Mick's a big lad.. so it felt like I was being pinned... Screaming and shouting about how I'd ruined the monthly thread.. His little face all screwed up with spit coming out.. enraged.. he tried pummeling me, but bless his little cotton socks.. he only succeeded in putting his tie out of place an inch or two.. he collapsed in pain and cried himself to sleep mumbling something about 'moving away from the normal humorous content'...and 'ignoring the fact that he'd hurt himself on his bike...'
Boo bloody Hoo.. I don't see Dave or Paul crying do you?? I know technically they never fall off.. not like Mick who crashed substantially off a 3" pebble.. but if they did.. I bet they'd be off and on before noticing the blood and severed limbs left behind...Big girls blouse..eh?
So I thought I'd put the record straight..
March 29th... is the 88th day of the year with 277 days remaining.. plenty of time for Mick to get some extra special armour to protect that girly body of his.....
The only noticeable events on this day were:
1461 where the War of the Roses Battle of Towton was fought. This was where Edward of York defeated Queen Margaret to become King Edward IV.. 20,000 men died at the battle.. bodies littering the Yorkshire landscape.. Are they sure Mick wasn't out and about on his trailie??? You could possibly mistake him for 20,000 dead with the amount of times he falls off..
Eric Idle & John Major were born.. which.. is.. fascinating...
Ah now.. Elle Macpherson was born in 1963..she married Mick 4 times before he finally turfed her out due to wanting to learn to ride his bike better.. Nice move Mick..well worth it..
Notable deaths were the Scott Antarctica team in 1912. Some think it was from the cold.. but it's widely known that Mick's 2 stroke fumes caused their deaths as he didn't want it to get cold...as it ticked over in their tent... all night..
So.. a pretty unremarkable day in the Gregorian calendar...
Best you get yerself down t'Squires and turn it into a decent one.. Mick will be there..so take some blood samples and DNA strands so that we can re-build his shattered body...
Normal service will be resumed next Month... or did it resume this month? Not sure.. Mick may know..if he's angry.. it didn't.. if he's smiling.. I'm safe..
Oh.. Normal convoys from the Brickworks at 7pm and from the Trading Post at 7:15 for those wanting to convoy in..
See you there!!!

Thursday 29th March. Hhhhhhhmmmmmm
I may well be at the brickworks for 7pm for this one with my good lady. New venue for me aswell.
Fresh from a trip to Howard at HDC for my de-cat downpipe fitting, I have to say that in the freezing cold I drove home with the windows down and stereo off just to listen to the noise difference and the whistle of the turbo. Not forgetting either how pleased I am with the increase in performance. Tap the accelorator and away she goes.
I have to say Howard is brilliant, would recommend him all day long to anybody, very friendly, very good advice and very very good at what he does.
This will only be my 2nd meet with you guys, poor attendance record really don't ya think. Hopefully I can get a few more meets under my belt and get to know some of you folks a little better so I don't feel like so much of a stranger.
Hope to see ya all soon.

Oh yes.. definitely.. very poor..
I think we have a rule about this...hang on.... ah yes..
WYIOC Constitution.. Para 9 sub para 6...
'People with a poor attendance record will buy beer for the Chairman.. If Beer cannot be consumed.. then Frothy Coffee's will be acceptable...'
Annex D: If said bribe is not forthcoming.. Dazza can be let loose with the vaseline and rubber bands..
A good rule if I say so myself...

No worries Si, whichever way you decide to come back is fine by me.
I'm frigging useless at finding my way to places with or without sat nav.
By the way guys don't pay any attention to the slight damage to the drivers side front wing, that was crumpled a bit and paint flaked off when I thought it would be rather interesting to tear the front bumper off with the upright of the garage.
PS - What in the blue hell is Squires?

Iv checked out the Venue link and am now fully enlightened as to what Squires is, sounds good. So what coffee do I have to buy the chairman then for my poor attendance record??? It is of course written in WYIOC law according to Alan. Ha Ha Ha!

It doesn't beat the best one where I followed your advice CB when you told me to take 'every left' when there was an option to get home from the Foxglove and 20 minutes after leaving ended up.....
....At the Foxglove
