Tis at the sharp right hander on Steep Lane, just before you get to the crossroads and the ford, on the way to the 'clinic.
Road plastered with mud, but very difficult to tell at 5:30 am on a cold Friday morning. Braked, locked up and just carreered straight on into bits of nature. One of which was a tree, stump, branch or similar which was just at the wrong angle and from then on it was a case of 'hold on tight'
Approach speed was well within 'sensible'.
Damage, here's the unbelievable bit...
n/s wing is a mess where the offending object tried to emulate log-roll manouver
Front is unmarked
o/s plastic arch extensions are a bit scratched, as is the drivers' door handle. Door mirror is cabbaged, and this also popped the quarterlight glass.
Paintwork is unmarked.
Read that last bit again....
I jest not.
The whole thing was just sat on the arches and the handle, and they're only nackered because the van had to be dragged into the road in oredr to right it.
Vinyl wrap is a little scratched and scuffed, but only very lightly, and I was thinking of changing it soon anyhow.
Other good bits...
Well, about £15 in loose change, a memory card reader complete with card, a lens cap and a few cloths that I thought I'd lost all turned up!
I reckon a n/s wing, arches, handle, glass and mirror should see her back to normal. Don't even have to paint the wing, as it'll be wrapped
Downsides?
Well, sitting in a Scoob for 2 and a half hours waiting for somone to open up at the 'clinic wasn't fun.
Lifting it back onto the wheels was fairly easy, took just three of us (Thanks to the lads from SC
Started first time and got us down to Crufts and back without missing a beat.
There were no dogs in the back, before anyone asks.
There was something else...
What was it....?
Oh, yeah. Ella's got a little bruise on her bum, for it was her wot was driving.
Got her call as I was going through the ford, turned round and headed back to her, only to be greeted by her crawling out of the back door. Bless!
She's fine. A little shook up, but other than that, fine.
Real worst bit of the day?
We were late for Crufts by 3 hours, so she didn't get to show one of Ebony's beautiful pups (She got 5th in class, may have done better with Ella handling her)
And Solo got nowhere (He'll win it next year, just like he did last )

There's great news, good news, sad news and a bit of excellent news all thrown up in that rendition..
Really pleased to hear Ella's OK. Would have loved to have seen your face driving back up trying to make out the shape / angle of the van from the headlights
