And All married men cheat and other well known prejudicies.....
The full article ....... 'Boy racer' headmaster jailed for crash that crippled driver | the Daily Mail
And clips from the full article .....
Davies's high-powered Subaru Impreza had been further modified to improve its performance and was covered with racing stickers, the court heard.
Comparing it to a racing car, Judge Stephen Hopkins told Davies: "I believe the car and its decorations give a clue to your real character and shed light on the way you drove it. "Fifty-one years of age you might be but you drove it on that day with the mentality of a boy racer.
So that applies to everyone that drives a stickered up high power car does it????
Yes he was silly to be driving at those speeds and in the wet BUT isnt that tarring us all with the same brush? Some of us dont drive like that but do we really need this sort of publicity and comments?
rant over

It comes with the territory GIAS, surely it's the cross we must bear and one that has been borne for ages. The uninitiated have deep seated prejudices which are quick to come to the fore in situations like this. It's a knee jerk reaction which sadly does tar all with the same brush...

"Paul Davies, 51, was driving at speeds of up to 120mph in heavy rain before losing control on a bend and hitting another car head-on, a court heard."
"Emma Able, a student nurse, said Davies had passed her car "in such a way it frightened me. I would say an easy 100 to 120mph."
So he was definitely doing 120mph then
I'm not trying to make excuses for him, he was in the wrong that's quite clear.
It's just this sort of thing really p***** me off, people making wild guesses at a cars speed and it then just being accepted as fact, I particularly like the way she says 100 to 120mph but the paper decide to go with the higher figure

Has she got a certificate to prove it
No matter what group you choose to belong to there will always be some people who let the whole side down depressing I know but do what I do and just don't care.
Also : student nurses are skint and so would most likely be driving a small engined micra or similar that would struggle to get to 70 so how does "the scared witness" know what 100 to 120 mph looks like.
