just letting you know that my space from the 6 cars parked infront of the 12 at the nbo is free so to let alan know if you want it as i had an oil leak tonight that started an engine fire but managed to get it out before getting too bad but wont be ready in time for nbo

off to take car take car apart now to see the damage

but see you all there as i'l be there in waynes

thanks scott from first look seems i've been lucky and its not burnt anything serious so lots of oil cleaning to be done as its everywhere. was an oil temp sender that gave way which let oil spew on everything but was oil on the headers that started the fire just lucky had a bottle of coke in the car but want the first thing i thought of to put it out when i lifted the bonnet and saw flames was in panic mode just a good job had wayne and his girlfriend with me as mine was to try ripping the washer bottle out to poor on which didn't work as aint that strong as i look across to see wayne spitting on it then are brains clicked in thank god and remembered the coke.

so hopefully no internal damage done figgers crossed

should be as once i've cleaned and tested then changing turbo etc so going to be a busy week

 

Are you going to try and claim under your warrenty or do you think it was a modification that was responsible?

 

not going to claim as it was oil temp sender that did it. which was above the no3 and on taking it out it had cracked badly and pushed the temp prob out then released the oil just one of those things i guess

 

ive just got a proper fire ex to put in my car but coke still did the job
