F1 Testing - Some Pics
OK. Got back later this afternoon and my face looks like a big, fat, red cherry tomato. Weather was brilliant, though some sun screen may have been needed...
Hey ho.. I'm also deaf. But I will NEVER tire of hearing a F1 car up close...
The traffic down was crap.. couple of accidents & roadworks meant we got there a little late... But a good fry up saw us heading to the track in good spirits.
Last year we drove straight up to the top of the car park and walked straight in. This year we queued behind 2 miles of traffic to park 500 yards in car park 6, behind 200 people queuing for tickets and then behind the same people to get on to the track... Popular is not the word as the place was very busy. We got on circuit 1 1/2 hours late... but with over 6 hours of testing we had plenty of time...
Most of the teams were there... Ferrari (who we missed last year), Mclaren (no Hamilton), Williams, Red Bull, Toyota, Renault, Spyker.. so there was plenty to see and hear... I actually tried to hold a conversation with Sticky.. but it's impossible with a Williams bearing down the main straight (easily the loudest today)
We walked right from Bridge and right down to Copse.. sitting where you liked and spending some time opposite the pits watching the Ferrari's do some race start launches...
Anyway.. enough dribble.. just a selection of the 60 pics I took today...
