WYIOC for Wishes 4 Kids, more pics
Some more pictures of our recent trip down the Wishes for Kids Track event
Wishes 4 Kids has been created to grant a wish for children and youngsters in Leicestershire who are life limited, terminally ill, have experienced major physical or emotional traumas, have suffered major abuse or are diagnosed as HIV Positive. The Charity grants wishes for those of eighteen years and below.
This day was a very humbling experience over 100 children, looking for something we and our children take for granted every day (maybe not at donnington though)
You simply can't buy the feeling that one childs smile beaming from ear to ear can give you.
Huge thanks to all the WYIOC members who were able to attend, and in fairness were fortunate to be chosen.
BIG thanks to Sticky not only for going that extra mile with the Wishes 4 Kids logo on his car, but For giving me the oppurtunity to do my bit. And not fogetting Dazza who was the initial man behind this day, but unfortunately could not get there due to work comitments in the States.
For Rachell..

Well done boys! pitty i wasn't there but thanks for holding the torch and I'm sure you'll agree it like peeing in dark trousers... a warm feeling others can't see... Well done, and thanks for stepping in, being good sports and more importantly acting responsibly... Although it wasn't effectivly a club thing I'm sure people know you were part of the WYIOC especially Russell so brilliant representation... nice one!

We (WYIOC) did act responsibly. It's a shame that a couple of the other drivers saw the day as an opportunity to practice their (limited) drifting skills. Not for long, as they were warned by the course marshal, but nevertheless, if you're losing control on a day like this then perhaps you ought to think twice about WHY you're there.
