Evening all
It was greeaaat!!
We'll post some pics when we get sorted - young matt who was with us (he was off taking pics most of day) will be putting them on disc for us
Glad to be home though - my feet are feeling really badly done to!!
Me and andy were thinking of having a hudds WYIOC evening - either here or round town whatever you lot think is best - we can put 2-3 people up in spare room and the sofa's a large corner one big enough for 2 (real comfy too) if anybodys stuck and needs to stay.
Sticky mentioned a nights bowling and drinking at Xscape - sounds great to us, let us know if this gets organised and we'll be there

Ace pics, was a serious hot day though, I now have to shave my head as its burnt and hair doesn't help...bit crispy
Had a great day even though the initial arrangements for the route were something left to be desired, luckily Mick came to my rescue and passed me on the A64 where I was waiting for the rest...unbeknown to me that everyone had chosen route B Met up with everyone at the gate so all was well again.
I did get a little bored of watching the same cars, which mainly consisted of EVOs out on the handling and drag but other than that it was a top day Shame we couldn't have had the WYIOC gazebo though, would've been handy.

Highlights for me...
The run over there... (Sorry Rich, phone has intermittent buggery problems, Paul wanted to go that way, and John wasn't where he said he'd be. See, not entirely my fault )
The two Mk1 'scorts... dribble.
The Civic TypeR saloon... very, very nice motor. Oh for 4wd and a turbo.
The company. We split up pretty quickly, but then just randomly bumping into one another throughout the day and swapping stories was a hoot.
Two funnies...
1 - Stood talking to Andy and Ellie when this guy walked straight into me. "sorry mate" "no problem bud" then the guy's mum / gf / wife says to him "get yer stick out" (at this point I'm thinking 'funny lady, wish I'd have tought of that') but the guy reaches into his back pocket and pulls out and extending white stick, opens it up, and carries on down the paddock in a blind-guy stylee. Please let me make it clear I AM NOT taking the mick out of blind folk, but the way it all happened, so quickly, just left Stu and myself in stitches
2 - Stood admiring the Gobstopper whist a mechanic changed a wheel over, two *cough* chavvy types are filming the engine on their mobile phones...
Chav 1 - "What's this running mate?"
Mech - "Well, it's not been dyno'd for a while, but it's somewhere between 7 and 750 bhp"
Chav 2 - "Evo 7, yeah!"
Chav 1 - "He's (pointing to chav 2) got a Cossie"
We were stood behind the mechanic, but could hear his eyes rolling around inside his head
And finally, a message to a certain graphics company... It's not too clever trying to pass someone elses work off as your own
