Right thought about time i put this up,camping for this years last bank hol,

The dates are 24th Aug till 27th Aug,which is Fri til Mon,although u dont have to come for the full stint...

Two options either ..

1 Spiers House,Cropton near Pickering...
Spiers House Camp Site - Forest Holidays , Pickering Campsite

Lovely campsite set in a forest ,good walks ,They dont allow fires ,children's play area ,no pub (bout half an hour walk),10 mins to Pickering , close to East Coast,...from about 6-7 pm plagued with midgies ,Really nice place though one of the best...


2. Holme Farm ,Horton In Ribblesdale,near Ingleton...
Holme Farm , Settle Campsite review

Again lovely place ,few of us went last year ,set at the foot of Pen-y-ghent,1 of the 3 peaks,set in nice vilage with 2 pubs (pub next door to site ),Plenty of walks to do round here or go on a nice run round the area , also think Bri knows a place real close to hear where we can go swimmin in river and jumpin off waterfalls and stuff...Your also allowed fires here if there controlled..

So have a think and put your names down ,need to get this sorted pretty sharpish as both sites fill up quite easy...

We are going anyway with it being the last bank hols would be good if some of you joined us for nice relaxing days, pished up nights, and lots of swingshot....

If you're gonna organise camping close to an event, why doesn't someone sort it out for Blyton ?

 

I desperately want to go away for the bank holiday, we havent had a camping trip this year with the mansion tent...

We usually go for a full week on our own the last week of August but due to lack of leave at work cannot do a full week this year...

Scott, as a smacs active member, as sticky has pointed out, you could've chose a better date. Have you any idea the amount of work I've put into organising the fun day?

 

Nothing to do with amount of work youv'e put in (as u say) ,basically were going camping and i asked if any body else from wyioc wanted to come.

Have said we'd come down to your Fun day on the Sunday, which i wasn't planning on attending due to us going Camping anyway......

Only asking, as if that's the case, then we could make it a bigger camping doo....especially as the campsite is closer...

If you stayed Fri and Sat nights you could have a teetotal(ish) night Fri and celebrate a cracking trackday with a right royal bender on Sat night A bit of a rush to get there and get set up after w*rk (early finish ?) Fri but a leisurely 5 mile jaunt to Blyton come Sat morning

If I were camping, that's how I'd play it. Anyway, up to you campers.

Horton looks like a goer, I will try and book today as it gets busy over bank holiday.

We will be setting off on Friday after work staying until Monday and having a nice steady drive over to the fun day at Buxton on the Sunday which as I mentioned earlier in the thread is 67 miles away.
