Realise you are getting old...
Thats it; its done it for me... I'm officially old
just read an article about the 25th anaversary of the CD... holy ****
I told Tia that the CD was 25 years old today and she said; UH! well how did you listen to music before then... records luv! uh! whats a record! Errrr a big plastic disk with grooves... what the hell did you do with them!
put them on a record player... they had needles that followed the grooves! obviously she had no f£$%$ idea what i was talking about then wondered how you listen to your music when you were out and about.. Err tapes i replied, whats a tape???? Oh FFS
I am old!!!!!
Ah well; having a rather nice night whislt the missuse is out flounting it, sitting here drink Brahma Beer and playing LFS (**** hot at drifting now ) I reflect on being, well OLD!

Yup, I too was at school during the Falklands Conflict (war was never declared until after we won ). Passed mi test in '87 Earliest music purchase I remember was Queen Live Killers and Greatest Hits on tape. Got a t/t shortly after and my fave albums for a while were Lionel Ritchie Can't Slow Down and Thriller

Agree, Eeeek WTF was i thinking...
In 1985 i had a talbot sunbeam... a Mini Van and a Austin Princess, 86 saw the Cortina, a Rover SD1 and a 350lc
Hells teeth I'm old...
And Al, to this day id say the quickest thing i ever saw on the road was some nutter in a 3i giving it some stick in wakefield and a swear i could not beleive how quick it went.... even now i remeber it vividly... Oh and one night watching a rs 1600 and a R3 turbo go for it and they looked deaft quick too... but the 3i was soemthing else...

yes mate you do. cant believe 10 yrs younger than me my first car was in '89 a brown crappy 1.3 cavalier.blew engine on that then a 950 fiesta pop.(poor student) then got a virtually brand new 214i rover kids came along got a citroen xantia easiest,fastest tyre changes ever done (white van man wrote that off.) next got a mondeo1.8 (wasnt paying over £1500 to insure a scoob in harehills) moved to sherburn bought the wagon now pay £450 probably the scoob is the cheapest car i have ever insured .
