Recommend me some music
C'mon guys, give me some suggestions for something new.
To give you an idea, my current playlist includes...
Keane
Snow Patrol (Yeah!)
Athlete (New album due soon, and playing Leeds too, if anyone fancies going)
James Blunt
Paulo Nutini
Duke Special
Editors
James Morrison
Ray Lamonmeringue
Killers
Just got the Amy MacDonald album, and it's very good.
Aswell as some less recent stuff inc.
Pink Floyd
Seal
Bowie
The Strangliers
Abba
Beatles
Kate Bush
Eagles
WoTW (of course )
And just about anything and everything 80's synthpop
So let me know if I'm missing anything earth-movingly brilliant, whether new or old.
I have fairly diverse tastes, but nothing too heavy, and NO R&B or anything that may have a remote possibility of being listened to by Tim Westwood or played on Crapaxy.

I almost very nearly put "none of that Arctic Monkeys type crap either" but resisted the temptation. Overhyped tat.
Just my humble opinion, of course, what do I know?
Maybe I'm just too old?
I'll try Interpol though

Said it defore and I'll say it again... COUNTING CROWS!!!
Also one of the best groups you will ever see live...
And to can it all they should be right up your street, as the lead singer and song writer Adam Duritz is a manic depressive insomniac just like you so his lyrics will have meaning too
Only kidding mate...
seriously make some time and sit and listen to a any one of the albums and you'll see what i mean

Was going to suggest Hot Fuss but you've got the Killers listed.
Other than that gotta be Embrace, early stuff melancholy, thoughtful etc, new stuff just brilliant (shame no one got over the terrible live performance of the football song & the fact it was recorded with a lead singer who had lost his voice!). Anyhoo, I've got numerous copies of every single & album you can have!!! (Sad megafan!).
My Chemical Romance are actually quite good!

Kasabian - Clubfoot (also the theme song to WRC Evolved on PS2)
Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go (Bourne Identity chase scene)
Moby - Oil1 (The song playing when Clarkson takes the NSX round Laguna Seca)
Kicking Harold - Gasoline (Overhaulin theme song)
Metallica - Fuel
Just about anything by The Who.
I'll have a look on my itunes tonight and see if theres anymore, can't remember what I've got.
