BBC NEWS | England | South Yorkshire | Man killed in two-vehicle crash
Heard this on the news this morning but only just got online. As nothing has been mentioned on here so far I am hoping it's no-one we know. Sympathies all the same.

No worries mate, find it bizarre how the press automatically state a Subaru car, giving the impressions its a big winged performance car, when the fact is its a basic blue forester.
None the less sad and tragic
Pics removed out of sensitivity and respect, not that they were graphic and can be found in general link
A speed camera too? Not too sure where the road is but does not look dangerous, obviously look and deceives come into play.
As said condolences to all effected

Some numpty in 'Was It You' posting laughing and cool smilies about a car getting 'smashed' in Dewesbury....
Stylish.
Puts it into perspective when real lives get wasted and ruined like this...
Stay safe everyone..

Hmm, speed camera. Of course, the camera can't be the cause, can it ? Maybe someone panic braked, perhaps a problem with their brakes, tires, a wet road.........Nah ! SPEED will be the reason, it's the only one, and somewhere along the way the Forester, which is already a Subaru will become an Impreza, just to demonise and accentuate the story.

I came in last night absolutely spewing that some debris from an accident on Armley Giratory ripped a hole in my bumper but this puts it in perspective. As you say Dave from the photos I've seen the speed camera braking scenario looks quite likely.

It's a tricky one to call. Having driven past the scene last night, the camera has taken an impact, as has a nearby wall and what appears to have been a parked Citroen ZX (Presuming this was parked, as the impact had taken out the windscreen and half of the roofline up to around the B pillar. If it had been invloved I'm assuming it would have been removed from the scene)
the road is a 30 limit at this point, coming from a 40 a good few hundred yards before the camera, so it's not like anyone would need to panic-brake unless their speed was well in excess of what it should have been.
The camera is sited right next to a junction into a small housing estate, perhaps one of the vehicles was pulling out from there? Maybe they didn't have lights on? So much room for specualtion, as in most of these incidents.
Whatever happened, it's still a needless waste of life.
And the press' imediate citing of the fact that it was a Subaru just rings true to form. You always hear about it, and it just looks like someone is out to do as much damage to the marque as possible. As has been mentioned elsewhere, you never hear "The driver of a Vauxhall / Ford / Kia has been involved in a fatal accident"
