just wondering how you get the door panels off in a 2003 impreza! in need of some speakers as the standard are ****! Also anyone know of anywhere to get a stereo filler?!?! been to dealer and they said they can bodge a forester one to match?!? they reckon subaru dont make one suitable for an impreza!!! Jilly

Correct, just need to drill a couple more holes in existing side brackets, quite easy.Did mine ok.

 

i removed the rear door panel on my blobeye so i expect the fronts to be more or less the same?

in the door pull handle there's a screw hidden by a flap (lift flap with small screwdriver and remove screw)
prise up electric window switch assembley (think there was a screw under this)
there's a black screw in the door panel edge
remove the handle screw (that looks like a pocket)
the panel is held on with several plastic pop clips - when you're sure all screws are removed and switches are disconnected from wiring looms pull the panel and the clips should free - start working from the bottom edges where the panel is overlapping the door

if you're in Hudds i have a black single din pocket you can have
before you replace the panel use some tape on the plastic pannel clips as you'll see how loose they are and tape will stop them rattling

Subaru do either a Forester pocket that has a flap on it, or a standard open pocket.

 

silver blobeye - you'll have to be up early to see me as i go to work at 6am

i've seen 2 WR blue blobeyes in the past week or so and got a wave from both (never happened with the last 2 scoobs i had) - could 1 have been you (bradley near mamas + papas, can't remember the other place)

 

Im on my way to work around that time for earlies towards J24 in silver hawkeye with carbon fibre spoiler
