Default Help me please

Still fairly new and need some help please

I've been going to K T Green to get my car serviced, and they are amazing , but it really costs. Been thinking about changing but need to know where is good that I can get to from the West Yorkshire area.

Oh, I want to come to a meet to see everyone but work seems to ruin the idea every time Think I can probably blag some time in the next week or so, when is everybody next meeting up again?

Cheers
Michael

Hello Michael

For servicing, they don't come much better than Rick at RE Motorsport based at Elvington, nr York. Alternatively, there's Howard at HDC Subaru in Hebdon Bridge. A bit further away there's also Scoobyclinic. I've used them all, and recommend them all unreservedly.

The main meet is on the last thursday of the month at Squires just outside Sherborn-in-Elmet, so just gone I'm afraid. There is a small meet at The Trading Post, Castleford today to discuss the Stelvio trip, not a proper meet. Quite a few of the guys will be at Elvington on the 10th, along with some of the NYSOC crowd. I believe it's free to spectate, but passenger passes are just £5 and we're a kind and friendly bunch, so I'm sure if you wanted a couple of laps there'd be a seat offered.

HTH, and look forward to meeting you someday, although I don't get along as much these days and am Scoobless anyway

I'm sure Rick (RE Motorsport) get's quite bored from all the praise but I'd also highly recommend him, he's knows Subarus inside out and the cost compared to dealers is peanuts.

From the feedback my guess is :

1. Precious Metal are nearer, and I haven't had problems with their work.
2. Rick is THE Subaru man, but he's further away, again faultless.

Can't comment, except to say K.T. Greens are dealers, so cost more. but again i can't fault them in my experience.

Where did you get your priceis from stu......?

I've never been to HDC. and never would to far for me

Ric takes a lot of care in what he does and is honest about everything he does to your car..

Anyhow Stu thought you used the clinic..
After you fell out with HDC...
Or was it the other way round..

Anyhow who cares..
everyone will take there car to who they want to and trust..

Dave is right. We all have our preferences to whom we use. I have used RE twice now, no complaints. Until that, if it does change I shall continue to use him. Which I doubt it will. We can chew the fat forever on this one, but at the end of the day, its your car, your money, your choice.

I used to use a main dealer, but they didn`t seem interested. Some may know who I am talking about.

Didn't list in any particular order Dave, just as I typed thats all, if it would make it any better feel free to rearange them in an order to suit, not that it makes any difference, as i listed them as the top places IMO and all have pretty good feedback from the majority of customers.....
At the end of it these four are the best local to the area I believe.
Not sure on prices etc but if any are wrongly/mistakenly wrote then im sure it can be edited to change

Welcome Monkeydile,

There is also a JAP meet on Tuesday at Squires not sure if anyone is off to this, im sure there will be a post up soon.

I hope all you are much clearer on the servicing front

If it helps we use Scoobyclinic, HDC and have used Precious Metal, weve found its just best weighing up what you need doing, speaking to them all and then deciding....

Hi Michael

As you can see you have a number of places to take your car too that aren't main dealers. I've worked at main dealers including KT Green's, so know they aren't your cheapest option.
