Quickly losing my tempter with my car....
Yes I know its 12 years old and that it isn;t going to be perfect but I'm getting very annoyed very quickly, its managed to break two radiators in 12months, the second needs replacing now as its leaking water/coolant when the engine gets upto tempurature and now the O/S wing mirror electric folding motor has packed in which aren't cheap
Its just one thing after another and I'm really getting sick of paying out and paying for things just to keep the car right, never mind modifying. As with anybody, Its the last thing I need at this time of year Everytime I get myself organised and sorted out financially, something breaks on the car and costs my a small fortune to puts me back where I started again with money. I'm losing faith in the car and I'm starting to not trust it to get me to work on a morning, nevermind going on runs out! Which is what I wanted to do.
I gets serviced every 3500 miles, I check fluids regular, christ I can't do much more for it.

With the exception of Rick @ RE, everyone else wants me to leave the car and let them strip the engine. Rick is the best option but he doesn't work weekends.

God mate I can sympathise with you on that score, I had two radiators go on mine within 6 months and the last one went on boxing day, could of cried.
I went out and bought a brand new unit and then was fine, but then sold the car.
I know its hard mate but you just have to try and keep positive, if its getting you down, get rid, you will fill yourself with smiles and excitement about looking and shopping for something new and R32 GTR's very nice.
I had twelve months out and no got a Cosworth as a project, yeah needs parts but smiling.
keep your chin up fella my lad

Rich, i'm in the same boat... reapirs needed on car include both back tyres, a service, and the possibility of a clutch in the next few weeks.. to make it worse, i have little money and now a son to support.. the thing is, the car is my only transport to work and back, so i NEED to keep it running.. i'm relying on our lass to help me out finacially, without her i'd be ****ed... back to semo's point, i enjoy driving the car, and yeah, it might be a bad thing that i bought it... but damn, do i enjoy driving her

As I said, its getting to the point now where I'm not enjoying driving it because I have this constant thought that something else will break. If I can't use it and enjoy it without this continuing thought then theres no point in having it. I do my best to look after it but I don't think I've gone a month without having to pay for something to be sorted on it.

Fight it fella ! It's worth it. How old are R32/33's getting now ?
Spares are no cheaper for them....
Mine needs new discs and pads on the front, probably around £650
That's life.
Then a new passenger side mirror, someone wacked. Dentmasters to sort ding in the door from the supermarket....
Dunx
P.S. Also need a full geo set-up at RE and rear struts changing....

Nope, for a few reasons. I haven't got time, I've no holidays left and no where is interested in looking at it at the weekend. I haven't got the money to pay for two hours labour for someone to just shrug their shoulders at me.
